My doctor says I have a prostate infection
but doesn't want to give me any medication
unless it affects my urination or
ejaculation. There is quite a bit of
pain, however. I have been looking on
different websites and this one reccomends
massaging and sent me to a website that
sells a prostate massager. It looks like
some sort of dildo and i'm not sure I want
to give it a try. Any ideas?

I wouldnt do that, I would go to another
doctor and make him give you medicine.
Try taking a supplement such as saw
palmetto, very good for the prostate.

From what I have heard a prostrate
massager does just that...It massages.
While you masturbate, it can heighten your
sensations if you rub your prostrate.
You don't need to buy a massager, just
slip a latex glove on your free hand
insert in your anus slightly and rub
forward toward your balls. You'll know
it when you hit it.

it clears the infected prostatic fluid
that a normal ejaculation may not... Its
effective in combination of a urinary
tract targeting antibiotic such as
levaquin. Leaving the infected fluid in
causes a abscess like infection that can
never be solved without completely
draining it, lucky the prostate is capable
of being completely drained without any
surgery unlike an abscess..
The device was originally developed to
massage and drain the prostate, and
marketed as the PSX or Prosrate. Men
quickly found it pleasurable and another
line, cheaper but just as effective,
called aneros was launched and marketed
for its sexual properties.
Urologists used to practice routeen
prostate massage for prostate infections,
it recently quit because our culture has
got to the point that a prostate exam much
less massagee is destressing to alot of
guys..

I would give it a shot. It feels good, and
you will know if it's working. If it's not
your thing, then you can go see another
doctor and they might be able to help you
more.

FYI, all saw palmetto does is inhibit the
DHT which the prostate converts from
testosterone. This causes apoptosis of the
prosthetic and penile base cells and can
inhibit sexual function if taken to
extremes. It also inhibits FSH and DHTs
effect to grow body hair and cause male
pattern baldness. It is the herbal
equivalent of proscar, or finasteride. Its
good if your developing BPH, but for the
healthy prostate it will cause shrinkage,
less sensation, and lower the prostates
ability to mix the various fluids
designed to form into what we know as
semen.
In other words, saw palmetto causes a
weak (can actually be quite strong in high
doses) form of chemical castration. DHT is
the hormone that T is converted to that
actually does the work of making a male a
male, sexual function and all. One of the
major side effects of mid to high doses of
saw palmetto is breast enlargement, its so
effective at blocking male hormones it
allows your E2 to assert itself and cause
feminizing.
