Since many are of the opinion that what we know as life begins at conception, I am curious as to when conception occurs?

I did not realize I had to be more specific. I was not asking for your personal conception time. Biologically speaking, when does conception occur? Across the board for all women who become pregnant, at about what time does concpetion occur? Is there a signifying event?
If that is not specific enough, let me know and I will try once again.
