Q: May Have Ms

I recently had a mri of the brain that had an abnormality. I asked the doctor was there a tumor. He said no tumor or tia. He wanted to do two test something with the eyes. Which I already had done. It came back normal and a spinal tap that has yet to be done. It will be done as soon as my doctor is well enough. I've had my symptoms for 2 months and I guess its okay to wait because ms is a chronic disease. I'm just nervous knowing I have an abnormality and my doctor didn't say it looked like ms without a doubt. He's putting me on hold so I guess that good.

Ms
Hi chrisj,
I saw your post and my heart goes out to you. Did you ever hear that doctor's make the worst patients? Like you are going to sit around and twiddle your thumbs. I know how it is to wait for a diagnosis. I sometimes feel like telling my Dr.-let's change places and i'll tell you to wait. All I can say is take a deep breath and try to concentrate on other things. I clean a lot. It is almost xmas so maybe at night you can drive around and look at all the decorations, go out to eat, call a friend or whatever. I know worrying and not knowing is terrible but hang in there. Will pray for you and hope everything goes well for you.

Ms
Chris,
it is hard not knowing what the diagnosis is. If it was anything suspicious the doctor would have admitted you. I was diagnoses in 2000. The first diagnosis was a possible brain anyorism(sp). Ms is not a death sentence. Why don't you go get a second opinion. It would not hurt. Good luck. Sandy

Extremely eHealthy
Hi there! I totally agree with san54, ms is not a death sentense, my Dr. Thought I had ms also and he still feels as though I might have it as I have all the symptoms, ms is hard to diagnose as it rests so much, as the other sandy says, as I am a sandy too, do get another diagnosis as there are so many other syndromes that is almost the same as ms, don't give into this stuff, keep on functioning as much as you possibly can without over-doing it. Keep us posted.
The best to you!
Sincerely,
sandy
