Forgive me for the rather dramatic title, but i've been agonizing over this little pain for the last 2 days. Though not life threatening, it is dabilitating. I have no idea what I did to precipitate the pain, but it is between my right shoulder blade and the muscle directly beneath it. It was also causing extreme discomfort when ever I took deep breaths.

Is this anything to be alarmed about and/or should I consult my gp for a diagnosis? Day 2 (today) has been more kind. I never realized back pains could hamper ones breathing ability. The only good thing to come out of this is I got a mini vacation from work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Go to your doctor a.S.A.P. You can never be too sure of what you have wrong with you. If it has been 2 days with no relief then it is time to go. You could have had a disc move and need to have x-rays an mri done to be sure. Do not allow someone to "adjust" you without first ensuring your spines health!
