It lasted for about 20 seconds...At first I thought heartburn...It's not that!!Now more syptoms......If I am sitting down it feels better when I sit up straighter and breath in deep.....The feeling comes on stronger and stronger as the day goes on. Maybe Acid Reflux?
Hi, I just logged onto this site because I am also experiencing stomache pains. I'm a 40 year old woman too. It started about 6 days ago when I woke up at night with a burning feeling in my chest. I also thought it was heartburn but my doctor says it's acid reflux. The pain seems to get milder when I stand up and walk around. I was given medication for acid reflux and it seemed to work for a few days and then I got the burning feeling in my chest area and my throat again. Also my stomache has started burning too. I spoke with another doctor to tell him the medication doesn't seem to be working that well so he is perscribing something else for me. He also said that it is just masking the root of the problem. I asked him what other things may be causing this burning feeling and he said it could be anything from gastritis, gall stones, hernia, a bacteria, or ulcer. I'm a little scared because i've never really experienced any problems before and this doesn't seem to want to go away. Hope you were able to find out more about your condition.

Extremely eHealthy
Are you nervous, stressed, anxious, you might think of seeking a second opinion or at least get your Dr. To run some tests.
Good luck!
Sincerely,
sandy

If You Take Daily Asperin......
I finally found out the reason for the pain under my left rib cage. I've been taking daily dosage asperin for 6 years since my heart attack. It seens the asperin burns a hole in your stomach lining exposing the viens which eventually cause them to rupture. My father has had it happen to him twice where he needed blood transfusions. I've stopped taking daily asperin and the symtoms have gone completly. Consult your doctor for an asperin replacement.
