Okay, I just started ortho tri-cyclen lo this month... I started on a sunday, which also, as it happened, was the first day of my period (which was kind of handy)... I've taken my pills every night within at least 2 hours of my normal time... And i've been having sex with my boyfriend, but we've been using condoms... Next sunday i'm supposed to start my period and about two days ago we were having sex and the condom slipped... Today ive been... Spotting? I'm not sure if its spotting or not... It's a discharge but looks like old blood... I can't recall correctly, but I think this *may* have been happening before the accident... But im not sure... I've also noticed I had very very minor cramps today... But my period isn't due until next week... Is this normal? Or is something wrong?

Well, up until the condom breakage you were absolutely fine. I wouldn't be overly concerned, but there is a chance that you might be pregnant. If you dont get your period during your week of green pills (i usually get mine on the wednesday of the green pills) you could do a pregnancy test to be sure, but having an irregular period for the frst couple months of using birth control pills is normal... So is the breakthrough bleeding you've described.
Bottom line, if you go all of next week without getting your period, do a pregnancy test, just to be on the safe side.... I personally think you'll be ok, but it never hurts to double check with a test, or you could even ask your doctor.
