I have been on celexa since july and have actually had very good results on only 30mg.

However I went to see my shrink today and told him that since I have been on this med I have been having a lot of problems with being tired all the time. The shrink decided that it would be wise to try switching to a different kind of med and is now switching me to buspar. It will be a couple of weeks before the switch is complete as I am coming off celexa and going on buspar in stages.

I have read that some people find buspar great and for others it does nothing, but that is ok, i'll take my chance.

My question is this, for those of you on it, have you had any side effects, particularly did it make you tired a lot?

Also, on the website it says not to drink on the meds, is this the same as how it was on celexa, if I am going to have a few drinks I just skipped my dose of celexa? Or do I have to avoid it all together? We have a few parties planned over christmas and I would like to be able to have a few drinks. What would happen if I did?

Buspar
Buspar has worked really well for me. I have been on it for about 2 months or so. No side effects.

As far as drinking while on buspar (or any other anti-anxiety medicine), I don't recommend it.
