High Level of Triglecerides Posted: 12-07-04 07:23am
Last week I had a lipid test. My
triglecerides was alarmingly high at 459.
My total colestrol level is 202 and hdl is
43. I am under medication for
hypertension and my bp is at 140/80. I am
taking tenormin 25mg.(1tab a day). I am
under medication for hypertension for the
past 6 years. This is the first time I am
taking lipid test. I am 43 years old. I
am not diabetic and my sugar level is 88
(in fasting) and 129 after 2 hours (after
consuming glucose).
Doctor had put me under medication for
colestrol with lipicard 200 (1 at night
after dinner for 2 months).
I am now taking a brisk walk in the
morning for an hour. I want to be
strictly under diet (walking and diet for
the past 2 days and will continue reguraly
for the days to come).
What food should I take to reduce my
cholestrol level to normal. At present I
take 5 pieces of garlic in milk (small
quantity) and boil it and eat it in the
morning.
Whether lipicard 200 will have sideeffects
such as damage to liver.
I would continue taking what the doctor
prescribed, but I would also begin to take
some natural supplementation and a little
down the track you would most likely find
that you won't need prescription
medications anymore
natural supplements that can lower
triglycerides are: guggul (these are
reportedly more effective than prescribed
meds with no dangerous side effects),
beta-sitosterol supplements, pantethine
supplement...These are just to name a few
My husband is in the hospital for
pancreatitus his triglycerides are at
almost 10,000 and they say its supposed to
be 200 and they can't tell him why they
are so high

Have they done a diabetes test on him?
If there is another hospital in your town,
you may want to go to your family doc and
see if he/she endorses the hospital your
hubby is in or if he/she would want your
hubby in a different hospital. There are
many hospitals that have a specialty like
cardiac or pulmanary care as well as
womens hospitals that concentrate on
birthing medicine.
There is a serious problem here and they
need to be agresssive to fix this.
Also, make sure that his pain level is
managed so he is getting relief! There
have been hundreds of studies done on the
coralation between proper pain management
and speedy recovery!!! If he complains of
pain, he needs to be ringing the nurse and
keeping her busy with him until they pay
attention and help him with his pain!
Pancreatitus is super painful and very
deadly, please be hard on the staff to
make them treat him relentlessly!!

Lower Cholesterol Naturally With Aged Garlic! Posted: 10-03-05 03:26am
One of the most important health benefits
of garlic is
lowering cholesterol!?
Aged garlic is the extract of fresh, whole
garlic aged in alcohol. It contains all
of the natural goodness from whole fresh
garlic, and if administered correctly,
without the unpleasant aftertaste or odor!
I have some pages that sell aged garlic:
straussheartdrops
garlicure
try it!!!
