Q: Seroconversion Symptoms

I had unsafe sex 12 days ago. Why, is no longer relevant. So far I haven't had any symptoms of seroconversion such as fever, sore throat and night sweats. I took an aids test but won't get the results for another 2 days. I'm worried sick. Should I have experienced seroconversion symptoms by now?

no, sometimes it takes years, up to 10, to have any symptoms at all.

Do i have Hiv?
I am a 22 year old heterosexual male and i had unprotected sex with a female on july 20th of this year.. I began to feel symptoms on september 4th (5 weeks after possible exposure).. the symptoms were swollen groin possibly due to swollen lymph nodes, swollen lymph nodes in my right armpit and on the right side of my neck.. I had nausea, vomitted twice (possibly due to my anxiety or possible symptoms) mild chills... I was so depressed and paranoid that i didn't eat, i couldn't sleep, i didn't shower, i didn't talk, nothing.. So i went to my doctor he confirmed my swollen lymph nodes in my armpit and neck but couldn;t confirm swollen lymph nodes in my groin but he did acknowledge my groin was swollen.. he said i should get tested.. So on september 16th (56 days after possible exposure) i got tested and it was negative. The swollen lymph nodes in my neck were gone but not the ones in my armpit and my groin was still slightly swollen at the time of testing.. Till this day october 4th some of the swellin my right armpit went down but i still feel the lymph nodes slightly swollen and the swollen lymph nodes on the right side of my neck has returned... Can somebody tell me if my test is accurate???

If you are not 100% satisfied then get retested and make them take a blood test, not a mouth swab or anything else...blood test. Also have your doc check for all other STDs.

It can take 6 months or 180 days for HIV to be detectable in an antibody test. Sorry but no your test isn't technically accurate.

That's right..you should wait at least 3 months after possible infection for the test to be accurate.
