My boyfriend and I were having sex tonight and after we finished and he withdrew to take the condom off. At this point, he realized that the condom was broken. The tip of the condom had almost completely ripped off. I immediately went into the bathroom to wipe my genital area. We got online to see what we could find out about the morning after pill. But...after talking with a friend who's a nurse, she said asked when I had my period last. I just finished my period yesterday. She said that I wouldn't ovulate for another 10-17 days and sperm can only live for 72 hours, so I should be okay. Is this true? Is it very possible that I'm not pregnant? I'm going to go to the clinic on Monday...but any reassurance or advice would be appreciated.

I have had this happen before. Go ahead and take the morning after pill. It will ease your mind. If you have a local Health Dept. they are the best place to go. There are drawbacks such as cramping, but if you are not ready to be a mommy or don't believe in abortion, it is the way to go. The morning after pill works BEFORE conception. Good luck. Very Happy
