until we changed it a few days ago, me and husband were going to name our could be boy aden. That's how we spelled it....Aden. Typical spelling though is aiden. But why be typical?!! Wink

i love the name aiden. I've seen it spelled aiden, ayden, aden, adan, aidan, aidyn... I think there's one more, but I can't remember. I would love to use that name if I ever have a boy

Heh, I can't vouch for the other names, but I know that "chloe" is hard enough for people to spell without it being spelled "differently"! It's my name, and i've had all sorts of weird spellings and pronounciations! Examples: cloe (very popular mis-spelling), clowy, clowey, klowey, chole, and the list goes on...

Why would you need or want to spell these differently? Only a few have other accepted spellings, kree8tif spellings just make it hard for everyone, especially the child! Please don't do that to a child! You have a list of mostly nice names...Just use the correct spelling, think of it as a gift to your child! Krea8tiiiiif spelling is just a trend in 10 years everyone will know your baby was born in the early 2000's because he/she has a messed up spelling!

To each his own I suppose, but I can't stand when people go crazy on spelling variations. My cousin has a little girl named bailey. To me, her name is much prettier spelled the way it is vs. Spelled like bayleigh. Honestly, it looks ridiculous. I don't mean to offend anybody by saying that. It's just my personal opinion. Keep it simple!

i agree with what you're saying, but there are some names I prefer different. E.G I like kaitlyn over caitlin, loryn over lauren and leann over leanne but there are also names that look better left as they are such as nicole or jade just to name a few. It looks really silly when people take a name such as hayley for example (my daughter's name) and spell it something like hayieleigh. Its hard to read it and pronunce it. :p each to their own I suppose, we're all different with different tastes. :)

Different Spellings
My daughter just had a baby boy and wanted the name aaiden but it was becoming to popular so she did a a-z with adian at the end and she choose zayden. Different but I like it. All of my kids have differnt names so I guess she is following in my foot steps.

I don't see what it is with people and the alternate spellings. You sometimes lose the meaning/origin of the name in the process.

Oh yeah, and sofia is nice :d

'gabrielle' is not a different spelling variation for 'gabriel'. It's female, whereas 'gabriel' is male. Any boy named gabrielle will be beaten to a pulp in kindergarten and his parents should be placed behind bars.
