Hi

could someone please give me some advice, I have a problem with my lower lumbar region of my back. I have both an x-ray and an mri done and have being told that the shape of my lower lumber region is incorrect. The correct shape is a curve but my is straight. The result of this is a burning sensation across my lower back, buttocks and legs. My doctor told me that the condition could be controlled by swinning to build up the muscle in the area and help the spine return to it's natural shape. I have being doing this for two years how and this did help. However recently the pain has become worse than ever. As a result it no longer goes away and sitting for any period of time has become hell. This is a major problem as I sit my first set of exam finals in 5 weeks and need to have some improvement on the pain if I want to be able to do the exams.

My doctor's only advice has being to swin, the same with the specialist I was sent to.

Does anyone have any advice?

Anything will do I desperately need help?

Please.

Thank you

Lower Back Pain Relief Ideas
If swimming helps, then exercise that mimics swimming should help as well. Try laying on your back, putting your hands behind your neck, and then cross twist the elbow to the knee on each side. Do this to whatever degree is possible without it being more painful, so it might start as barely twisting. Over time moving the muscles in the back and strengthening them should help. In the short term it should relieve muscle tension and reduce pain. You may also want to take some enzymes or herbs to reduce the inflammation as soon as possible. Personally, I reduce inflammation, check my posture, do yoga, and see a chiropractor to manage my back pain.
