I know lauren already mini-updated you girls but I will tell you again..Lol
on wednesday they had taken him off his respirator and moved him to an oxygen hood. And they had him under the bili-lights for his jaundice. They were feeding him 10ml of breastmilk.
On thursday morning they took him off the bili-lights and gave him a different respirator that was only giving him 30% oxygen (room oxygen is 21%) so they werent giving him much and they took out his feeding tube and started giving him 15ml. By that afternoon he was doing so well they took him off the respirator all together and started giving him 20ml.
This afternoon they took him off the lipids (fats) he was getting through his iv and started feeding him 25ml. He is still on the warmer because he can't regulate his temperature yet, but he was doing so much better today. His temperature stayed normal the whole time I held him today.
At this point he is really close to coming home..
In order to come home he has to..
-be eating 30ml
-be able to regulate his body temperature
-be taken off the iv (they are still giving him fluids but they are weening him off them)
so yeah, he is really close..I will have him home at the beginning of the week more than likely.
I am going to be adding pictures periodically to my livejournal so you girls can go see them there. I added some yesterday so if you havent seen them yet the .U.R.L is..
