Hi everyone, I am new to the board. I
have had a mole that I have had for 3
years, two weeks ago it got a red ring
around it and was looking funny, I went in
and had a nurse look at it and she said
she thought it was all right, but I needed
to have it looked at anyway; I go
dec.23.... The red ring is almost gone
and there is now a little flaking but not
alot, only on one corner. The mole used
to feel round and smooth, now it feels
scratchy and flat like could disappear.
Should I go to this appointment or not??
Thanks for any advice given.

I would go.. It never hurts.. At worst
they remove the mole (which really doesn't
hurt.. I've had two removed) and at best
they say it's a skin irritation and give
you some cream to help the healing. It's
probably a good idea to get all your moles
checked out anyway.. Especially if the
mole is only 3 years old. Think of it as
a bonus skin check!
