Kinda embarassing but here goes: he had coke in the car. Enuf for felony but not enuf for intent to sell they only came by to tell me b/c the car is in my name and I had just been with him and school officials saw him slumped over pretended to sleep and accused him of being high

Theres worse though then missing their 4th birthday my boyfriend was gone to jail also when I had our daughter he missed her birth her first easter, 4th of july, thanksgiving, halloween and christmas not to mention the first time she smiled , sat up, said daddy, and crawled. It sucks not having them there but just think it could always be worse. As long as he has no prior convictions he will most likely get probation. I feel for you though it was hard on us for him not being there and now himand his daughter will never have a bond like most fathers do they are close just not as close fathers that got to see all that stuff

Wow. That's crazy. My boyfriend got arrested in june because one of his friends in the car with him put coke in his stuff (we were in the process of moving and his friend was helping). I hope everything goes ok. Good luck!

although those are worse things for you, sami's mom feels his 4th bday is a big miss. And if its not a miss for her, her son is going to .K.N.O.W. Daddy isnt there, but understand why. Can't explain something like that to him. He won't understand. I understand sitting up and smiling is a big miss for you...But different things are cherished by different people. (and in no way was this meant to be mean)

Thats why I said I didnt mean it mean. I was just saying. I know how it goes for missing certain things, but I try to say the 'it could be worse' thing. Doesn't make one feel any better.
hil :hugs: hope you'r feeling better!!

i hate that too, someone's feeling bad because they lost a parent, but it could be worse, someone else lost both...
Yeah, sorry, but the fact that it could be worse wouldn't make me feel any better about losing one.....

It was just an example
i have had friends in the past that no matter what problem you have and are coping with, they are dealing with "something worse" so in their minds it is "dumb" for you to feel so bad about your own problems when they may be dealing with something worse, ya know what I mean?

Oh! It is never dumb to feel bad about your problems! Thats sad!

I know
that is one thing I cannot stand, people who always want to "compare" their problems, not to get advise or support, but to take away from the other person seeking advice and support.. To "prove" that their problem is worse
