Hey guys, I need some advice. I got off my pills sometime around the middle of last month. And ever since I got off the pills me and my huband have been having unprotected sex. But the thing is is that, ever since I got off the pills I have been bleading non stop., and then a couple of days ago it did stop and then in the morning it started again. And it has been bleading since.

I thought your husband didn't want a baby yet? Anyway, i'm not sure why your bleeding like that. I'm sure nothings wrong though. Go to your gyno if you are really worried about it too.

U could call a doc if ur really worried. But depending on how long u had been on the pill, i'm sure ur body is just trying to get back to normal after the hormone change.

You could go to a local health clinic for cheap or maybe planned parenthood. Do a search for your area. Or look in the phone book. If you're pregnant you need to see a doctor soon.

I understand about not having enough money to see a dr but if you're still bleeding - you must see a dr - it could be life threatening - & all the money in the world or all the hardship won't alter a thing if you keep bleeding & die - so find a dr, er or clinic & get yourself checked out!!

I Understand...
This is my third pregnancy and the first time that I havent had insurance. I started spotting at 6 weeks and I am now 10 weeks. I applied for tenncare/medicaid four weeks ago and I am still waiting on them. The scariest thing is sitting here for a month and no knowing if my baby is alive. Finally today I went to the hospital and thankfully my baby is alive and growth is consistant with my last period. I have an ovarian cyst, but they didnt seem concerned. Point is, any bleeding during pregnancy is an emergency. Something I didnt know until I was told. No emergency room is allowed to turn you away if you dont have insurance or cant pay right then. You may get stuck with a bill you have to pay off, but the health of you and the baby is more important. Dont be scared to go, no one will judge you, and you will feel 100% better knowing either way, than sitting around being scared of what it might be. Good luck

This website lists the medicaid offices for all the states:
http://www.Cms.Hhs.Gov/medicaid/allstateco ntacts.Asp

for fast help, you could try the closest planned parenthood office, as they do many annual exams and gynecological evaluations. If you have no funds, they might do it for free or dirt cheap.

If you truly are in philadelphia, I found this place through a google search:

temple university health sciences center - service departments,
family planning
3401 north broad street, philadelphia, pa 19140
(215) 707-3232

it apparently is run through temple university medical school and is staffed by resident physicians with supervision from licenced ob/gyn physicians. From what I could find, most of the 10,000 visits each year is by women who have no money, and thus get the visits and care for free.

My sister had heavy bleeding for almost a week before she had a miscarrage she went to her doctor several times and they couldnt do anything to stop it. And a friend had a full blown period during her pregnancy and her baby was just fine. Bleeding is very unpredictable. Just go to a doctor.
