:d hello, I am new to this website and I wanted to share my story and see if anyone can related to me.

Myself and husband have been trying to concieve for 5 years now, I finally found a great ob/gyn.

I visted her office in october (day 5 of my cycle), and I informed her that my cycles are irregular as much as 4 months late and I have tried over and over to get pregnant.

She advised me that I am not ovulating and she wants to start me on 50mg of clomid today because I can start cycle day 5-9! Great, I have a head start!

Well, I called her in november and told her that I got my cycle, she decided that we increase the doseage of clomid (not covered by cigna) for 100 mg on cycle day 5-9 and I had to come in and have a sonogram to see if I have cysts (i still cant understand what cysts have to do with it)!

Anway, before my sono I had to be intimate in the am before I go in.

Well she did the sono and my eggs were good,my ovaries and uterus are fine! That was 50.00:shock: because again (cigna does not cover it)!

Step 2-mucus test-the mucus was too thick to determine if we had good swimmers, she gave me estrogen. Can anyone relate to this! Sad

oh I forgot this was 25.00 Mad ...

Step 3-a 50.00 Crying or Very sad shot of progesterone!

I walked out of there was a 125.00 bill and a free 7 day supply of estrogen! It's just the beginning... :d

has anyone experienced this?

Cyst On Ovaries
Hey there, I also will be going on clomid when my husband and I start to conceive. I produce too much of the male hormone so my body doesn't know when to ovulate. I have never had regular periods unless on birth contol. The cyst thing is that the clomid can cause cysts and if they get bad it can cause u to loose an ovary. That's why u should get checked for cyst alot while on clomid. My sis in-law told me that. She had to go on that and they never checked and she got pretty sick from the cyst. I also know a younger girl who has only one child and she lost an ovary due to that situation and now she can never have kids again. Hope that kinda helps u with the cyst thing and if you have any information for me feel free to reply back or email me.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I think you got away pretty cheap! Generally, insurance doesn't cover infertility treatment or medications like clomid. There are a few out there, but it's rare.

Anyways, the doctor wanted to do an ultrasound to check if your ovaries are producing follicles. More and more women are being diagnosed with pcos, or polycystic ovarian syndrome, where they are not ovulating and therefore cannot get pregnant.

Be aware that infertility workups are not cheap. If you're serious about it, you'll need ultrasounds at specific points during your cycle to check for follicles and medication. Where I work, we charge $300 per ultrasound and $228 for artificial insem.

Don't give up, i've seen clomid and "timely intercourse" work successfully for a lot of women. It may seem like a lot of money now, but just think of how worth it it will be in the end. :) best wished and good luck!!

Well I'm now taking my second month of clomid.. I did not ovulate last month on 50 mg.

I'm on my third day of 100 mg now and I'm so scared.... I realized stess and all the excercise and weight loss I had the in the past six months ( i lost 38 pounds since jan.) may be the reason.. funny thing is, I did it because I wanted a healthy pregnancy.. that was a large part of it...

the first month of clomid i had hot flashes all the time and migraines. im pretty symptom free right now and i told myself tonight- after much research-
1- RELAX, BREATHE.... seriously stress can be so bad in this

2- Eat well and plenty

3- Dont' excercise

I guess this isnt on topic so much..... I dont know why I wasnt ovulating ... i know its irregular cycles but Ive had so many tests done and my ovaries and stuff are fine. So I blame it on stress for me....

anyways good luck to everyone Very Happy
