Hi all

in last two weeks I started to get tingling in my thumb and the finger next to it. This worried me as I am a diabetic and I thought it was nerve damage and I still do. I went to my doctor and she said my pulse was ok so blood going to my hand and she said most likely cause is carpel syndrome from using computer the wholetime.

Well today I started to get tingling in my big toe and this is really starting to scare me so much. Sad like my diabeties is fairly well under control average hba1c I think its called is roughly 7.

All this is happening on my left side of my body which I fear might be the starting of a heart attack. I am aged 25 as well very slightly over weight.

I still have full feeling in my thumb and finger and toe and this tingling is not always there its mostly when I tough something.

Also I suffer from anxiety man do I have problems which I dont know might be a factor in this. Like all this has suddenly just appeared and my biggest fear it is nerve damage and it wont go away and also that it could be my heart and that I could die.

Has anyone else have similar symptoms to me I think I will go back to the doctor but I am scared so much and known my luck it will be bad news just before xmas.

Thanks

regards
declan

Tunnel carpal syndrome can provoke that tingling in the thumb and other fingers on the hand.
Diabetes can also cause tingling sensations because of the diabetic neuropathy that can occur as a long-term complication of diabetes. In your case, I believe that the blood glucose level is well controlled. HbA1c should bi in range 7-7.5 in order to prevent or at least delay long term complications of diabetes like diabetic neuropathy, diabetic nephropathy and diabetic retinopathy.
Anxiety can also cause these tingling sensations. People with chronic diseases like diabetes are susceptible to develop anxiety disorders.
Do you still feel the same symptoms? Did they disappear or become worse?
