Ok, I was on the computer chatting with some friends on the 17th and felt a "gush" at 11:30pm which I mistook at first for the mucos that had been doing that for a week. When I went to the restroom a little while later, I found it to be water like instead... Ooops? That gush came with an uneasy feeling in my back and lower stomach, and minstral cramps. One hour later I got that same crampy feeling and another gush. It dawned on me then that it was my water. I had one more contraction another hour later, then it went all speratic, getting them anywhere from 5 minuts to 30 minuts apart. Then it all stopped around 4:30am, so I went to sleep. I waited to see if contactions started back up, but nothing happened. I called to make a same day appointment to see my doc. But they told me to go to the hospital. So at 1pm on the 18th I went to the hospital. They got me in right away and checked the fluid, and sure enough it was my water. They put me on potosin right away and my labor started at 3pm. Quickly the contractions were right on top of eachother and I was in pain. At 3:30 in the morning on the 19th, they said I was at 5cms. That is when I got the epidural. The sucky part was because of a curve in my spine, it didn't work right and only my right side got numb, so even though it helped a lot, I was still in pain, and contractions were getting stronger, and no breaks inbetween them. At 7:30 my Dr. Came in and to my dismay I was still only at 5cms. Due to the fact that I wasn't dialating anymore, and my water had broken over 24 hours ago, they sent me in for a c-section. Now remember I mentioned the epidural didn't work right on me the first time! I got in there, and they gave me a new epidural, and it seemed to work this time. Both sides were numb, I couldn't feel a thing....At first! They had cut me open, and I started feeling a small prick in one spot, and then suddenly this burning cutting feeling!!! I started scraeming and crying, they told me the baby was almost out, but I could feel them cutting. The epidural only numbed the outer part of me, not inside!!!! They started pumping more meds into me, and soon desided to go ahead and knock me out, though by then, the baby was born. She was born at 9:07am. I was so upset and hurting so much, I told them not to show me the baby, to just take her away. They did show her to me though, but I was already so out of it, I couldn't really see her. It took me four hours after that to wake up enough to where I wanted to see her. I finally got her in my arms around 1pm. It was so wonderful, and from that point on, I wouldn't let her go. She stayed with me pretty much the whole time, accept for when she had to go for vitals.
I was given permision to leave on the 22nd, but poor kayla wasn't alowed to go home so I stayed one more day. She went 24 hours with out going pee or poop. Turns out while my milk was slowly coming in, her body held what she had so she wouldn't dehydrate. But they did all kinds of tests on her to make sure it wasn't anything else. She is doing great now though and going through diapers like mad!!!! I've already gone through 1 1/2 bags 40 count of newborn diapers. I knew it would be a lot of diapers, but wow!

Kayla is such a wonderful baby, doesn't cry much, very mellow and sweet. She is so beautiful too! :d I will post a link on here with pictures asap!

Haha yes they are the best. Smile all of that pain though seems more like a dream now, due to the medication they gave me to knock me out. But I would go through that again and again if it ment I was having kayla! I adore her so much, and it was 100% worth it all!!!! I just know for next time they will have to knock me out right away!! :d

It is scary, but it is so worth it. You forget about the pain after the baby is there.

I did say something, I was screaming in pain telling them I was feeling it.
