Q: Important Question

Hi, I just have a question, last month when I had my menstrual cycle, it was about a week later than normal and when I did get it, it was lighter and shorter, like I only had to use maybe 2 super tampons the entire day, and it only lasted 4 days, when my usual lasts between 7 and 9 days. I have been having unprotected sex for 3 months now and I know the possiblity of pregnancy is there I just don't know how high. I have felt a bit queasy the last few days and have not been as hungry as usual. No other symptoms though. So I was just wondering if I could be pregnant and have been last month and just not have know it. Thank you.

Dear frosted,

the fact that you have been having unprotected sex for the last 3 months, your chances of becoming pregnancy are incredibly high. Some women bleed right into their 3rd month of pregnancy, so it might be a good time to invest in a home pregnancy test, or make an appointment with your doctor and request a blood test. You didn't mention whether or not you are trying to concieve, if you are then I wish you luck, if not maybe you could talk to your doctor about contraception options like the birth control pill.

Take care...

Sweetie - please be more careful about your unprotected sex. Im going to assume that you do know that that is how you get aids and stds. Your chances of getting pregnant are extremely high but yet so are your chances of getting stds. Please be more careful. Get a home pg. Test and if you are going to be having more unprotected sex get some birth control. ~melissa

I am a hard core volleyball player and I was at practice yesterday afternoon and I got a few sharp cramps, I never have cramps, ever!! What does all this stuff mean??

Sweetie, I know that you wanna play, but I dont think that it is a good idea until you contact your doctor, or you could play but not as much as you usually do because that could harm yourself or your "baby". Most people at like 9 months pregnant still run and do things they just cant do it as much and have to slow down. You do know eventually you will have to stop volleyball though, hopefully the season will be over though. I mean if you were to fall and hurt yourself. Or twist the wrong way. Be careful!!
