Honestly, if my husband ever cheated on me I think i'd stick around and try to make things work. I know it would be difficult, i'd always being thinking about it (especially during sex), but it is possible to get through this. If my husband were to cheat on me agian, after I took him back the first time, then i'd leave. Do what your heart tells you to, and I hope everything works out for the best!

well you really don't know until you go through it. It's just a long process of healing and either getting over it or you don't. It's not really a big deal whatever you choose, it has to be right for you. I just don't know what is right for me yet...

If you are happy to be with him again, good for you.However-always cover your bases.I'm glad you are interested in getting a job to support yourself and going back to school.Do not allow yourself to be so dependant on him-a sense of yourself is important!!Maybe focus a little more on your wants and interests.Take care of yourself and be happy!I wish you both the best of luck!Patty

thanks. I am not to sure if being with him is what is best for me. So I am attempting to figure that out right now. I don't feel bad for taking time to make this hard decision. It's hard to get divorced and once it's done that's it. I need to make sure before I do something that final. Thank for the advice dear.

I am divorced and am sorry it went that far. I have been with several women since and, after 18 yrs, think I have found the one that I probably will spend the rest of my life with.

It sounds like you're going to give it time and you are doing something for yourself. This indicates, to me, that you have a healthy attitude. You & him may want to get some outside help, too.

Churches offer this.

Good luck.

Cheating
Posrschelvr

when i've bedded a new lady, we both were tested for std, prior to intercourse. I got a lot of flak over this, but when it finally got down to the "short strokes" it was hotter / better.
They admitted sex was a lot better knowing we were clean. You may want to consider this since your other had two different ladies.
I hope this didn't upset, or offend you, but thought it was worth mentioning. If he is serious 'bout make things right with you, then he shouldn't have a problem doing this.

Question: how do you "box in" comments from others for replies?

Topic: I got cheated on
hey girls, you need to understand why he told her in the first place. Think about this? If he had not told her, then what? To me (male) he was trying to owe to something that he knew was wrong. And the fact that he couldn't possibly be romantically involved with either of them. Again, i'm not excusing him from this adultry thing, but he may be trying to reconcil his short comings.
I hate to see a marriage go down because of some stupid mistake.
It's a lot harder, out there, to find a real person that wants to hook up. The fact is, you have someone that you know something about, already. You can build on that.

Granps, you are right on both comments. It is hard to find a special someone and if one of you messes up and asks for a second chance,it is worth a try to make it work.However-if there is a second or third episode, than that is a pattern, not a mistake.(that was the case with my ex,he had a zipper problem-keeping his up!)and as far as getting tested-i would insist on it!These are scary times and your health is more important than your forgiveness!I would make a condom a must until he has been tested and is clean for six months! It may seem drastic, but you do not want to get sick,do you???!!I hope you work things out!Merry christmas!

I asked him to get tested and he did. We both did. Both of us are healthy and well just trying to get back my life... I don't know what to do.

we didn't hear how your interview went. Did you get the job?
"don't know what to do?" do something for yourself. Stay in school if you can afford it and don't spend to much idle time. Visit friends / family. There's no hurry.
Merry christmas and hope your year ahead offers you a lot of happiness.
