And its not all about just wanting a baby. Its about giving the baby they best you can. I believe trying to get pregnant half way through highschool with no job and a half ass boyfriend is not the best. It is selfish to bring an innocent life into the world this way.

Kitty-thats a different story. There is a differnce in getting pregnant when not execting/trying to, than getting pregnant on purpose. Those who get pregnant on accident learn how to deal with their responsibilities, and as most girls on here who this has happened to, change their lives around and give the baby the best that they can. Although im sure if you ask them all, they are excited about the baby, but wish they could have brought the baby into the world in different circumstances. Now in your situation kitty-it seems to me that you have a lot of unprotected sex. You know you can get pregnant. I believe this is just the same as trying. You either prevent it or you dont.

In the past 2months I only had unprtected sex twice .. And the rest was protected

A baby is not necessarily going to ruin your life. For example, my dad is a pediatric oncologist (cancer doc for kids) and he works with another doctor, a lady, who is 35 years old. She is 35, and has a daughter who is 21. So she had her when she was 14 years old. Even after that, she finished highschool, went to college, and became a doctor. All on her own. She was emancipated, and lived w/ her babys daddy (and now hubby) who was 19 at the time, and had his own apartment. They received little, if any help from either of their parents, and they still made it, and she's a doctor! He's a car mechanic and owns his own shop.

This is just an inspiration story for u preggy teens. Even if you do get pregnant at 14, it doesnt mean you ruined your life, it just means you have to work a little bit harder than many teens! You can do it!

I agree with you guys, but I also think that the chances of a 15 year old who gets pregnant has a very unlikely chance of going to school and finishing. They would need financial support a very cheap baby sitter and spare time on their hands to do homework. And that's not even including how important it is for that baby to become bonded with the mom and dad. It would be almost impossible for that baby to be bonded if the mom is a single mom who is working full time and going to school full time. Tha'ts fourty hours a week of working (assuming they are having to pay bills) and if they go to school full time that's like 40 hours a week plus some so well say 80 hours a week atleast would be devoted to work and school. That leaves 98 hours a week for sleep or taking care of you baby. Don't forget theirs simple things like eating and showering in this all too. The average person at 15 needs atleast 8 hous a day to sleep. However, they have a baby that doesn't sleep that much. So we'll give them 6 hours a night. 6x7=42 hours. So you have about 56 hours left to spend with you baby and through most of that you are just able to take care of nessities. That's not enough time for you kid to know who it's mommy is. Not enough time for you kid to feel the love they need. Children don't understand shool and work. They do however, understand that mommy is too busy for them.

The only reason i'm bringing this up is because so many people think well, if I did get pregnant I can still do everything I am now. If you can you are a very lucky and determined person. That's not what statistics say.

Well I know if I get pregnant b4 I finsh school I will finsh either in school or on homed bound im not gonna drop my scholling because I had a baby when I still can do both be a mother and a student some way some how

I agree with pitterpatter. (if I understood corectly what she was saying) a 15 year old needs to finish highschool to get a decent job further in life. It takes a very determined person to be able to do all these things at the same time. I know, that when I was 15 I had a hard enough time sitting down to do my homework. I wanted to talk on the phone with my friends and go hang out, like every normal 15 year old would want to do. I think it is unusaul for someone halfway thru highschool to decide she wants to have a baby, I believe ppl like this are somewhat confused as to what it takes to raise a child, in a healthy way. They are confused as to what it will take, and some of the sacrifces they will have to make.

Kitty-you say some way, some how. Why dont you wait until you are done with school so you can say, I will, because I can now, and I know that having a baby right now is ok for me!

June-every situation is different. But some things can be prevented, like bringing a child into the world, purposly when you know you could do better for him/her later. Yes kitty does have her own idea of a good life. I would be sad to see her get pregnant, she has a lot of things to learn and she needs to grow up some.
