Ok I got on the depo about a week ago, weird things are happening. In about the past ten days or so I have either gotton so aroused I thought if I did not have release I would go nuts...Or on the other hand I sometimes get completely unaroused. It's weird, will my clam down sometime soon or is this normal with the shot? I looked on webmd and they didn't have much to say on sexual side effects

Mmm..
Well girlfriend, I don't know if you've read up on depo but it can make people crazy! I was on it for two years and realized that those were the most depressed times of my life. My hair started falling out (not clumps or anything, but it was enough!) and of course you probably are aware about the weight gain. I think I went through the whole super-aroused, super-not aroused things as well. I believe it's normal when you're on the shot, but the shot is not a healthy contraceptive girl! I know it's convenient but I am begging you to look into it more. You'd be surprised at some of the studys on it and their findings. However, everyone is different and I hope it works out for you! Just keep doing as you've been - pay attention to everything that goes on while your on it. Good luck!

From What I Know..
I've heard of it taking months to get out one's system. That's why for a lot of women on the shot, when they want to have babies it can take a good 1-2 years before they conceive- but everyone is different. However, what I did was just get on the pill when it was time for my next shot. I got a prescription for desogen right before it was time to take my shot and the doctor told me when to start it-i want to say that sunday. I was shocked to have my period come on time as a lot of women won't see their period until their 2nd or third packet because of the depo in their system. I'm pretty sure there is more info about it online somewehre.
