Listen hun, you don't need a guy to raise a baby.. There are millions of single moms out there, and abortion isnt the only way.. If you feel that you are not capable of raising a child, then look into adoption..Please, reconsider abortion.

I do hope you reconsider and don't kill a life just because he doesnt want his wife to know .A.N.D. You have problems. Let the baby live and give it up for adoption.

it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of abortions - you're the one that's pregnant and it's your decision. All that matters is what you think about abortions and what you think of the pregnancy.

i'm sorry hun, that's a difficult situation for you.

If he doesn't want to support you, you can have a baby by yourself. Don't abort because you're panicked, abort because you think it's the best option.

Please pm me if you need any support and remember - this is your choice.

i would never get an abortion but there are medical reasons behind why I wouldn't. I've had friends who've had them and I don't hate them or anything it's your decision-----how old are you? There is always adoption but i'm sure that is even harder. As for this "man" (if you can call him that) you are with I would get the f*** away right now- no one needs an bumhole like that. Let us know what you decide.

I know how you feel!! I am 23 y/o and 15 wks pregnant and the father wants nothing to do w/his child!! I will still raise my child b/c I look at as my responsibility. Personally I am against abortion but I would not condemn someone for it b/c it is not my place to judge. My friend had one and has been in counseling for 2 yrs b/c it caused her to have a nervous breakdown. In my opinion your best options are to keep the baby or put it up for adoption and get rid of him!! He sounds like a major loser!! He will still have to pay childsupport! I wish you the best of luck and if you need to talk I am on everyday! God bless!

long term psychological problems are very rare after an abortion - the american psychology association (the leading mental health body) has done numerous studies into it.

Glad you're doing so well in such a difficult circumstance newmommy - hope it all goes well for you.

maybe so, but three of the four people who I know that have had abortions, have gotten pregnant again soon afterward, because of all the what ifs.

Hun im not here to judge anyone so in my opinion you need to look at your life and look at it alone questions you need to ask your self is 1. Do you really love this guy? 2. How would he feel if the shoe was on the other foot and you gave him this decision to make? 3. They must have children togehter or they would almost be divorced. A divorce is 6months seperation for a merriage with no children and a year of seperation with a marriage that has children oh and the big thing no cohabitation at all. 4. Also how do you feel do you want a baby or are you not ready. There is always alot of help and support out there. I'm here if you need help or someone to talk to.. I think whatever decision you make ... You are ready
good luck hun

"the what ifs"? Relating to mental health? The studies that actually are scientific are unequivalently pointing out that abortion doesn't cause depression. At worst, it exasserbates already existing depression, but that's all.

wow!!!! I like got so pissed when I read this. Okay girl...U wnat my advice on this, here goes. G.E.T a.W.A.Y from this loser!!! What the hell is he thinking!!! Is he in the prosses of a divorce or what??? Are you sure he isn't still sleeping with his wife??? I swear to you i'm not trying to be a b**ch I just know that you have to be better then that. Please please please don't kill your baby!!! Obviously if he doesn't want to have his child just to hide it from his wife he doesn't really care!!!! I'v miscarried a baby and that was the hardest thing i'v ever been through.....I know that having an abortion and knowing that you killed ur own child has to be 10 times harder. There are cases where miscarriage would maybe be okay...But this isn't one of them. Were the two of you having unprotected sex??? Did he not know that unprotected sex can and will make a woman pregnant?? Does he have any other children??? How old r ya?? Sorry about all the questions....I'm just curious!!! Look, please get you and ur baby out of this situation. You should talk to your boyfriend and tell him that you are going to keep your baby with or without his help!!! If he loves you... He'll except it. He also needs to tell his wife that he is with someone else....And if he sin't in the process of a divorce he needs to be!!! I'm 6 weeks pregnant....So if u decide to keep your baby (please do) then we can be preggy together, and confide in each other. I'm sorry if I came across as a b**ch... I promise i'm not!!! Smile did yo uknow that your baby is growing little fingers and toes as you read this??? In the 6th week it gets a heart beat!!! It's so amazing....Isn't it an awesome feeling knowing that you have another life inside of you??? Well chick...I think i'v said all I can!!! Good luck sweetie and please keep us updated!!!!

what ifs as in would it have really been that hard if I kept my baby, what would she look like, what would she smell like, how would her laugh sound...All that relating to a new baby. What studies are you referring to? I don't want this to be an abortion debate, just my experience about it like newmommy. The reason people post is to get different opinions and experiences, and help them look at things from different prospectives.

Well said l2at24. This is not a scientific forum it is real women with real experiences trying to help each other. The studies u speak of deal w/statistics and do not represent a whole. If ur pro-choice just say so!!

Who is to tell a lady who just had her baby taken from her womb, by choice or not, that it can't cause her to have depression or to have a nervous breakdown? People do things a lot less severe and suffer from depression because of it, and if someone like this girl had an abortion just because someone else told her it was the right thing to do and then later regretted it, then I do believe that could cause depression.

My best friend is puerto rican and she has an aunt that had several abortions earlier in life, she is now deceased from a severe illness and on her deathbed they had to bring her baby dolls to hold, she kept saying she was being haunted by her unborn babies.

Just wanted to share that
