Anyone ever heard of the parvo virus? I was at my doctors last week and he said they found traces of the parvo virus in my blood when the did my blood tests. I found it you can get it from cat's litter boxes, it's an airborn virus. He said a lot of people catch it and don't even know it, most times there aren't even any symptoms of it, however if you do, it's normally a fever and a rash on your face. Now the thing is, it's not really harmful to a person who is not pregnant. If the woman is pregnant, and the baby contracts the virus, it can result in miscarriage, if you happen to catch this virus further along in your pregnancy, the baby can develop enemia, resulting in heart failure. I've never heard of this before, to tell you the truth i'm a little sketched out about it, it's really worrying me. Has anyone here ever found out the contracted the parvo virus while pregnant???

I'm sorry sweetie, but I don't have an answer to that. No one I know has contracted that when they were pregnant. But I didn't want to leave u hanging here without an answer. Maybe u should just talk to your doctor and see what (s)he thinks will happen. Are u pregnant already?

Yes i'm 8 weeks as of last friday. I'm sure I have nothing to worry about, I think if it would have effected the baby, I would have miscarried by now, or the doctor would have been able to detect something from the ultrasound. Everything was good with it so I guess all I can do is keep taking my vitamins , take care of myself, and avoid kitty litter. Lol.
