Hi everyone,

i'm a new member to the board. I just got a mole removed on monday from the center of my forehead. It was fairly small (.5mm diameter?) however, my doctor recommended I remove it. It was done via local anaesthetic and was excised.

I just wondered if anyone had tips about what can do to minimize the scarring? The line is about 1 cm. Right now, it is a vertical line with 3 smaller horizontal lines running through it. I get the stitches out next week. What can I do now? I am applying hydrogen peroxide and polysporin as recommended by the nurse. Is there anything else I can do? Also what can/should I do after I get the stitches out? Is vitamin e cream good?

I read somewhere that massaging the area is good ... Is this true?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, as I am truly a rookie to this!! Thank you so much!
