Q: Bad Physician Help, May Kill My Daughter.

I took my 16 month old daughter to the hospital three days ago, and they told me she had tonsilitis, and they gave her a perscription of amoxocilin. I took her home, gave her the recomended dosage, and had to take her back to the hospital the next morning again. She was admitted yesterday with broncial phenominia. I was wondering if the antibiotics that the physician perscribed her, hurt her in any way. I was wondering if the croup that she did have was exasperated in any way via amoxocilin. Right now, my daughter cannot breath very well and I am genuinly concerned that she may not recover.

Your Dtr And Croup
My son who is 5 just went to the doc today , he went just last week and they said he had croup cough, they gave him a steriod and singulair ( he has asthma also), I was told by my doc that I had bronkitis and my husband had strep which is very contagius, they have given my son in the past amoxcillin which is safe and usually works but if over perscribed then it may not, your dtr will be okay she may have had a bad case of the croup which can cause a asthma attack and at her age they may want to keep a eye out on her, also when my son was 2 1/2 I had to take him into tthe hospital er for symptoms almost like croup but was told he had rsv which usually happens to premies but not alwasy, it is bad and maybe you may want the doc to check for that, it can be done swabing the nose and run a test, my son spent 2 weeks in childrens hospital of the kinds daughters because of rsv and bronkulitis not bronkitis, he will be okay again just lots of rest meds and a asthma treatment even though he is not having a attack, it will help open him up more to get this croup out.
