Q: What should I do?

I just had some cleaning done (scaling), and am having one side of my mouth done at a time. I didn't realize it right away but the shape of my teeth have been changed and one is broken now. Before, my teeth were even and now the side that was done looks jagged. I'm so upset because I have a huge smile and now feel like a crocodile. Worse part is, I go in to have the other side done on Monday.

Should I say something? Is this something that normally happens? I had a wisdom tooth on that same side break before going in. Are my teeth getting brittle or something? Help! What should I do? I'm turning into a crocodile.

Seriously upset,

Tonia

i would definetely mention something to your dentist. i recently had my wisdom teeth pulled and i have a porcelain crown on my front tooth. believe me appearance of your teeth is a big thing. ask your dentist if there is something you can take like a vitamin or drink more milk. if your teeth are getting that brittle or what not you should definetly ask your dentist. good luck!

It sounds to me like your dentist doesnt know what hes doing. If I were you I would try going to another dentist and ask what they think. Just see if they think that what he has done is normal! Good luck!

Dont go in for the rest..Save your teeth now..Thank god it was just one side..Please dont do it. He will ruin the rest of your teeth.

I had the same problem, thank god it was only the upper right then I stopped him and right now in the process of sueing him for ruining my teeth. He made them shorter and spaced them. I had perfect teeth too and this is something I am living with and regretting but thank god it was only the upper right side.

Another thing..Dont ever change dentist..That was a mistake I did, stick to who you have even if youre not that happy with him. If he has been doing a fair job with no problems then stay.
