It is your choice whether or not you want to help yourself.

If so consider opening yourself up to non conventional methods of healing:

EFT Emotional Freedom Technique by Gary Craig

TAT Tapas Accupressure Technique

Taoist Tai Chi Society for using Tai Chi to reset your entire body

Reiki

Their are numerous books, numerous free online resources, their are an abundance of people who just want to help you.

Even on YouTube you will find videos of people wanting to heal you.

A friend is experiencing a Dr. Sha and soul transplants. This is not for me but you might be interested.

Also Medical Medications such as those in Kundalini Yoga by Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa have also helped me.

There is a solution to every problem, an answer to every question, all you have to do is be willing to allow the universe to bring it to you and take it as it is however peculiar.

The Universe brought me The Teachings of Abraham by Ester and Jerry Hicks. Absolutely hilarious is Abraham.

You need not believe anything or what others believe, but their techniques just might work even if their supporting thoughts are different from yours.

I just discovered a book I am reading called The Mood cure. It talks about something - nutrition - that no doctor has ever talked to me about. Not even the hospital dieticians seem to know about this. I am just beginning to read it. If it is true then it is no wonder life has been so difficult for me. You may not be able to help hubby but give this book a read and see how you might help YOU.

Stupid Shaking!
To almost everyone here, as I came here looking for the same reasons that most of you did, trying to figure out what that anoying vibrating feeling in my neck/arms was. As I read through all of these im finding that the one thing that binds most everyone together here is anxiety of some sort, if it bothers you a lot, go to the doctor, and when they dont find anything its not because you have a strange disease that no one can figure out, its because its just another symptom of the multi-facceted gem that is anxiety. Once you acknowledge that this is all it is, then it will go away just like every other strange symptom that your doctor doesnt understand that we have googled and found to be anxiety as well. To the people complaining of the jerking back to conciousness spastically, its called a Hypnic or hypnagogic jerk, its perfectly natural almost everyone gets them. They happen when your muscles naturally relax as you begin to fall asleep, for a split second your brain is unsure wether your falling asleep or dying, so your body reacts to save itself so to say, no you arent dying, again everyone gets them once in a while. So to the people that have the anxiety related form of this, you will be fine and you will also find that if you can find a way to stop thinking about the twitching/shaking for a minute, you will find they go away quite fast, and after a while will go away all together.

Thank you. I really thought my mom was dying. I will not continue to bother the doctors about this then if it is all in her mind. Thanks.

Just as long as you did get her looked at by a doctor of corse, because it can be other things still. If it does turn out to just be anxiety though, as another poster on this thread recomended, get a bood called "the mood cure" by Julia ross, im not even done with it and I can already say that just reading it and realizing how textbook my situation is has really helped the front end of my anxiety. On one last side note, she might also want to hit up a chiropractor for a few visits, as neck problems can do the same thing. Lastly if shes really depressed and weak, tell her to look over the symptoms list for hypothyroidosis and see if maybe that could have somthing to do with it. Hope this finds you and your mom well!

I get shakes after sleeping sometimes but they are only noticeable to me. After some tests that I do with myself through subconscious studies, I discovered it's a sign to tell you that you've had all the sleep you need. Sorta like getting an indicator that the gas tank is full when the handle lever clicks.

What almost all of you will find if you have medical tests done is that there is nothing wrong with you. Upon research I found this happening all over the world to many hundreds of thousands of people. Some during the daytime!

I had a huge spiritual awakening several years ago (without ANY spiritual interest or practice I might add), and I have noticed this symptom off and on ever since. If you cultivate awareness you will notice this pulsating seems to originate in your body energy centers (Chakras). Anyway, I tried to make sense of it, and have done a lot of investigation into it. I believe at this point, I do have some answers.

The first thing I examined was common conspiracy nonsense, and after a bit I ruled out abductions, possession, demonic assault, and all of that other nonsense. I began to notice an interesting correlation, depending on where I slept, I noticed this and didn't notice it. Eventually I correlated this with the negative ion concentration around me at the time it happened. Higher negative ion(Healthy) environments, the smoother, more advanced this symptom was. Sleeping in a tent deep into the woods, I sometimes would feel like I was vibrating right out of the tent.

I did find one remarkable substance that was very incredible at reducing symptoms of this, while allowing it to naturally take place. It's a TCM remedy called "An Shen Bu Xin Wan". You can get it almost anywhere online.

I also noticed the more pure I became, pure foods (organic, etc), pure thoughts, pure water, and spiritually pure, and felt and projected a lot of love, everything seemed to go much smoother. I found increasing my mineral and vitamin supplements to be very valuable. I also started taking Mycodefense, and found that to be valuable. A sublingual B-Complex will help as well, as it keeps the nerves in strong to allow this energy and easier flow.

Interesting thing I noticed, my overall health was starting to improve to massive levels. My immune system seemed to be outstanding, and I could be exposed to almost anything and never catch it It seemed to be healing and rebuilding me on all levels, I started to feel more alive than I have ever felt before. Areas of my body that felt dead were opened up, functioning normally once again. Long term chronic issues I had sporadically were cured.

So as a change, I decided to work with it consciously, during the day. To move it up through my body, to play with it. I found I could have intense, hour long orgasms by willing it to do this. I found if I let it go to do what it wanted, it coursed through my body, healing and revitalizing every organ, every vessel, and every gland in my body with infusions of incredible loving energy. If I let it go up to my head, I could experience bliss, and my entire body would shake and pulsate with an internal orgasm.

It was further investigation that revealed this is something called "Life Force, Prana, Mana, Chi, Ki, Orgone, Soul Force, Kundalini, etc". It's very natural; every human on the planet has it.(to some degree or they wouldn’t be alive) I discovered it may be in some way linked to "Negative Ions" in the environment. Technology produces positive ions, which steal life and cause all kinds of ailments. Nature (Sun, Water, Cosmic Rays, Plants, etc) generate negative ions, which reinforce life, build healthy systems, and is the stuff of creation and evolution. Prana(etc) seems directly related to Negative Ion concentrations. If you increase negative ions in your home (Naturally if possible), then you’ll notice this flows much smoother, and more blissfully. It is important here to note, this will be much easier the more you remove positive ion (life taking) things in your environment. This means no WiFi, Cell phones, DECT Cordless, etc. All of these will only serve to steal more of your life force, requiring more and more of the “Shaking” to keep you vibrant. Feng Shui is something that is valuable to study as it can help facilitate understanding of the energy around us.

Mankind has incorrectly externalized this energy to unhealthy levels seeking external materialistic, sexual, and drug pleasures to compensate for not cultivating this, and that wasn’t the original intention of this energy when it was created when the Universe was created. It was created to allow us to be healthy, to allow us to have babies, then to continue to nurture us for long and vibrant spiritual lifespans of good morals and good emotions. It was a gift to us, a gift that has been abused, misused, and deliberately distorted by people that feared what would happen if people understood this gift, and used it outside of their control mechanisms to better humanity.

If you cultivate awareness, discernment, and gratitude for life, you will notice this energy pulsating up you during the day, as well as the night. There is nothing to fear here. This may actually be related to beneficial changes happening on a planetary basis that simply cannot be avoided. It *IS* sexual energy, but sexual energy is how creation happens, how evolution is facilitated. There is no fear, embarrassment, or loss of moral fabric. Without sounding conspiratorial, you’ll find that society is rigged to get you to externalize this energy – the energy of life – so you give it to entities outside of yourself. (which gladly use it for food) It doesn’t matter if this is in fancy material objects, rampant sexual content, hidden sexual pictures, subliminal suggestive content, it’s all the same, and it is all designed for one purpose. Remember – Nature will NEVER steal life force – it gives it. I wouldn’t be responsible if I didn’t note an important aspect to all of this.. Parasites on all levels (Seen and Unseen) have an intense dislike for strong Life Force – always remember that. The less of this “Stuff” you have, the weaker and more unhealthy you are, and the more vulnerable you are on all levels because you will seek to restore this through external unhealthy pleasures or worse, steal it.. Depleted people seek to find life force through external means such as illicit drugs, prescription drugs, unnecessary surgery, alcohol, excessive materialism, excessive sex, excessive eating, and other things.. Everything you do either enhances it, or depletes it, remember that.

The more you have, the more powerful, loving, and creative you are. Every saint, guru, high level Christian I have checked has an intense level of life force flowing through their body. Children have incredible levels of this in their bodies. Remember it was Christ that said to be in heaven, we only need to “Be like a child”, think about all of this.. It means we are innocent, loving, creative, inquisitive, experimentive, and above all, humble – they do things – and God rewards those that do things with honest intention – you get more life force. Cultivate that, and you naturally cultivate life force into your life.

That’s my opinion on this matter, I hope it helps shed some light on what may be happening to some people in regards to this. You’ll learn through cultivating this, combined with gratitude, love and reverence, that you are much more of a participant in life than you could have ever imagined. You’ll also find that prayer, meditation, and spiritual goodwill also reinforces this energy, allows it to expand through you, and connects you with divinity on a day to day level. Try not to get wrapped up into this or that, specific doctrines, masters, new age or psychic junk, etc.. What will happen will happen, and you don’t need anything external to you to facilitate the essence of who you are coming home to roost.

Enjoy your journey of awakening to who you really are and the magical gift that life really is. I know I have.

Well, Many of these reasons for: sound like logical explanations for the shaking symptoms. I didn't start getting my shaking until I was roughly 23-24, I'll now be 29 in a month and still have the shaking although its nothing compared to what it use to be. My shaking didn't start until I began a diet regiment as well as a spiritual cleasning. And by cleansing I mean it all got chucked out the door, all my beliefs etc...I became majorly spiritual in my studies etc...no religon what so ever. During that time my shaking was so bad, I would wake up literally convulsing off my bed in mid air. Many times I would pull my feet up to me and turn the table lamp on thinking someone was jumping on my bed full force, since I sleep with a dead bolt on by bedroom door, I new that was impossibly which made it all the more scary. That insane instense convulsing only lasted for 3-6months, now I just have full body shaking in the middle of the night.

I spoke with my Dr. informed him that I believed 100% that I was either epileptic or loosing my mind completely. He blamed it on caffine and subscribed me to take symbyax. Not only was I have the shaking at this time, I was also waking up with chest pains that hurt so bad that all I could do is grab my chest and scream into a pillow until it stopped which usually took a few minutes. I started to take the prescibtion for about a week, but when I would set with my family and start to feel as though my body was raising in the air, I stopped taking it. Anything that would make me become disconnected from "life" isn't worth taking.

I spoke with quite a few ppl and did some studying. Many believed that I had awakened my Koundilini and that it was hitting me full force. I believe that for a while, but then I laid that to rest as well. I do however have an anxiety or phobia that I know of, perhaps thats the underlying cause. I have made 100% turn around on that though, so you would assume the shaking would stop. It doesn't.

I also had a E.E.G. done when I was between 8-11. It was found then that I had or have an abnormal brain wave, but nothing was ever done past that. The Dr.s informed my family they didn't know what it was or what to do about it. My reason for having the E.E.G done was because of my violent outbursts as a child. Well, having grown up to around 7-8 yrs old with my paretns being server alcholics, my father beating my mother until she bleed from every part of the body, then being given to my aunt, and then her giving me over to my real father, thats enough to make any child extremely violent and serverly mental. Thankfully, I grew up and started to realize that ppl are ppl and everyone makes mistakes, I forgave my parents and family, but of course never forget about it.

I do however plan to evetually check with another doctor to see if there is any answers that can be given. There is epilepsy in my family as well as several heart diseases, dipressions, bi-polar disorders, a circle of alcoholism and cancers. I tell my mother all the time that I'm so happy I was gifted with all the bad genes in the family. lol Thankfully, as far as I know I only have depression, which I deal with naturally, but telling myself to deal with life. When ever I feel a bad mood coming over me I either go out with friends or I start doing a hobby that makes me feel good about myself and within a day or two the feelings have moved on. Living in todays society who doesn't have this from time to time.

This just happened to me on saturday when my boyfriend was sleeping over. He says this is the first time i've ever done that. And i think it really was the first time. He called my name and i just woke up but the shaking kept going for another 10 minutes. I'm not bi-polar but i was on my menstrual cycle. Will they keep coming more frequently?

Shaking nights
I have been going thru the same thing with the shaking at 3am and wake up to it and can't stop shaking. Just started 2 months ago. I get all stiff and begin flippen and later begin to sweat. In the morning my body is very sore and tired. I feel my nerves are traumatized and uneasy. I plan to get a check-up to see what's causing this. Hmm....Very strange. The other posting have been very enlightening on the subject. Thanks.

What has helped me with the internal shaking.
Hello,
I have just started experiencing shaking when I lie down, sitting still on a chair or come off a long flight. It is an internal shake and almost feels like I am vibrating. We have just had a series of earthquakes in our region and thought it might have something to do with being sensitive to that. I found that using the "Fire - N.E.T (Neuro Emotional Technique) homeopathic" remedy really helpful (works on the thyroid, pituitary, heart ect. areas) and also putting my finger on my neck pulse for about 25 secs. This seems to stop the shaking for a few hours and 'rebalanced' the body. I have also noticed that the muscles under my jaw bone near the ear are very tight and if I massage the area it also helps reduce the shaking.

Shaking, Jolting, Throbbing
My father had the same problems, shaking, jolting, throbbing..especially on his legs.It happens during days and nights. It's very rare to see him calm, but i guess it can be controlled. When my father start to focus on something, like holding a glass of water or put the socks on, he will stop shaking instantly. But he starts again once he finished focusing. And he cant stay focus constantly due to headache encountered if stay focussing for a long period of time (like reading newspapers). He also being very sensitive to his surroundings, he dont he dont want to be smothered by the ceiling fan or air conditioning system, all he want is the natural breeze of air but not too strong. He also having troubles to sleep. Sometime, there's no way to stop it, no matter what you gave to him, the shaking wont stop. FYI, he started to have hyperthyroid before having this weird simptom. His hyperthyroid is just mild, the T4 counts was only 29 while the limit is 25. Sorry i didn't notice the units. A person who have hyperthyroid normally recorded T4 counts of 75 to 100. It is very difficult for me to handle him. We went to doctors, but they didn't provide us with answers. They gave him Alfrazolam (calm pills) to suppress the shaking/jolting and also sleeping pills (Stillnox) We also went to homeophaty, and the homeophaty practitioner gave him plenty of meds, (thyroid, cerebrum, uric acid, hyperflex, calm, headache etc) and i noticed he improved bit by bit. I also bought Alpha Lipid and Immunocal, B complex, buffered C and I noticed positive effects of having these supplements together with the homeophatic remedies. But now, he started to shake again after given other medication from the same homeophatic practitioner..I dont know why and and asked my father not to take the new medication given. If anybody have any answers to this, feel free to share your knowledge with me.

wake up shaking/ vibrating
Got the same thing going on. It started last year. I remember about five times I would wake up and felt like there was an earthquake, only to find out I was the one shaking. More like my whole body was vibrating. I used to have about two energy drinks a night. Truck driver! So I stopped thinking it was all the extra caffine. The shaking stopped. But now it has been coming back. I don't drink caffine anymore, I lost wieght, lowered my blood pressure, but it keeps coming. I thought maybe sleep apnea. Not sure, but not knowing kinda scares me. Also when I wake up shaking now I feel like I want to get sick. Anyone else?

Me, too.
I've been experiencing this, too -- waking with the sensation that my whole body is vibrating. This has been going on for about a week, but the last couple of days I've felt it before going to sleep, too. My best guess as to the cause is wear and tear on the body due to stress. I wouldn't say I'm under acute stress, but for the past year I've been pushing too hard -- working long hours, not getting enough sleep, and just in general not relaxing enough. I've been telling myself for months I need to take a break, but have been having to push because of finances. Just recently I've had a bit of a virus (other people around me have been sick with it, too) and I think maybe that's been sort of the straw that broke the camel's back -- cause that's when the shaking/vibrating started, even though I really wasn't very sick.

I'm forty-nine years old, and the only other time I've experienced something like this was about fifteen years ago, when I was going through a very difficult romantic break-up. During that time period I would wake up shaking each morning. That shaking was much harder than what I've been experiencing lately -- but that's the only other experience I've had with something like this, and that was definitely due to stress. It started with the stress and got better when the stressed passed. I'm guessing this will, too, if I can just quit pushing myself so much -- get some rest, fun, relaxation -- like that. Eat well, take B-vitamins.

Good luck to everybody else -- and thanks to everyone who has posted. It's helpful to hear what other people's experiences are.
