I was not what you would call the "type of girl that would get pregnant," if there is one. I was engaged, loved my partner, and was monogamous. However, shortly after we broke up, I found out that I was pregnant. I opted to have an abortion, as I had just filed for bankruptcy and had nothing for myself, much less a baby. I was also ashamed to tell my parents. I learned my lesson the hard way. Exactly 4 weeks after I went in for my abortion, I had to call 911 because I was hemorraghing. In the emergency room, I was told that I was still pregnant with a healthy fetus. At that point, I told my family, who pressured me to have another abortion. I refused, thinking that everything happens for a reason. However, four weeks after my initial hospital visit, I was in the emergency room again for hemmorraghing, where I was told that my fetus was healthy but I was not healthy enough to carry it. Since then I have had so many problems with my reproductive system I have spent over $8,000 after insurance. My point in telling you this is not that you shouldn't get an abortion, as I believe it is every women's right, but that you really need to do some research on who you go to. If you have to drive two hours to go some place that you know is reputable, do it. It's better than what I have gone through.
