My sister-in-law just had this done about a month ago. I don't remember the name either but, she was having the heavy periods just like you etc... She came out of it just fine!!! She was up and about in a few days and it helped tremedously. Good luck

I was going to have it done, it isn't something to be taken lightly. I would not do it just for heavy periods. Now if the periods lasted for weeks at a time i'd do it. Just like any other surgery it has its risk. That procedure is a big load on the heart for some reason.
I was going to have it because I was bleeding 6 weeks then stop for 10-14 days then bleeding again. Doc did a biopsy in the uterus, ultra sound pics of the ovaries and uterus and all was normal except thickened lining inside the uterus so we were setting up the procedure when the doc wanted me to take a thyroid test first. It was high! We waited 90 days and reran it and it was normal....And my periods went back to normal too. It was an awful 6 months but thank god I am regular again. I've always had heavy cloting etc, and the older I got the worse it became but still in the normal range in terms of days.
Think very hard before doing anything that is not necessary.

Has Any One Had Doen This Operation For Heavy Period
If i'm in your place I will do it without hesitation. Heavy period is terrible. You never feel comfortable and it causes a lot of problems in the future. My sister had the same problem, sometimes her period lasts for ten days she did that operation and now she is o.K and satisfied.

Lolipop.. You posted this back in november. And you were slated for the surgery on dec 4th.

I'm curious (as i'm sure the women are too) if this surgery went smoothly, if it helped at all, and if you've had any complications as a result?

Justin
