Well, i've had a very interesting visit with my new rheumatologist, he was very thorough, and i'm not so sure i'm very happy about it. He took a very detailed hisorty and 10 or so vials of blood, at least 2 x-rays of every joint, and a bone density test. The bad news, in addition to lupus, sjrogens, raynauds, and oa, I also discovered I have osteoporosis, bone spurs in my neck and spine, psoriatic arthritis with aspects of ankylosing spondylitis in my neck and spine and si joints.

The treatments are almost as bad as the diseases. I start methotrexate on sunday and hope I can tolerate it well. I also start actenol for the osteo, you have to sit or stand straight for 30 minute straight, no bending, no eating, no drinking except water. I really am going to have to concentrate to sit still for 30 minutes.

The doctor said the osteo and bone spurs were bad but luckily all the arthritis was holding it all together. Well, aren't I lucky!!!!!
