Q: Scoliosis Worse Because of Injury?

I'm new here and hope to find some opinions and experiences other people have had. I recently hurt my back at work and saw a chiropractor. She told me I had scoliosis, which I could clearly see on the xray. Her diagnosis of the injury was that when I hit my pelvic bone in my back, I also got a strained sprain from it. The muscle pain is dull and spread all over the place now, and the bone is still sharp pain.

I was sent to another doctor by my employer and she said all my pain was due to the scoliosis. And did not recommend any more treatment, etc.

After talking to the chiropractor more she said that it's very possible the scoliosis is worse now because of the injury. I never knew I had scoliosis before I saw here, and I definatley did not feel any pain from it before the injury.

Has anyone else had a similar diagnosis? That the scoliosis is worse now because of an injury?

Thanks for any replies.

Susan
