I have been looking through the posts and now found help to my situation I am facing a laparoscopy with the possibility of a hysterectomy. I have finally come to this decision after one ful year of sleepless nights and pain in my hip area mostly left.. Cramps most days. Pain with intercourse. When I turn over at night it hurts like crazy then after I get up and walk around or p it feels fine... All day . I have had mri, x rays, unltrasound and I do have smal fibroids too .... It is worse around my cycle and since I had endo 20 years ago with no reoccurance I am wondering if this could be the problem... I also have been having clots , heavy bleeding and shorter cycles and my gyno said a year ago I was a condidate for hysterectomy. I have been afraid to do anything... Not wnat ing surgery .. And hearing bad storeis about hysterectomies .. Please those with good experieneces ceom out of the wood work .... Has anyone her had a hysterectomy by laparoscopy ? I hear the recovery time is much less.. Do you have to go on hormones afte a hysterectomy? I have only one ovary now lost the other one to endo 20 years ago and I am 48 now. I really need some help in deciding this one janice

Hello it sounds like endometriosis but if you don't want to get a hysterectomy try considering a lupron depot shots it's a shot you can get monthly or every three months it helps with the bleeding and the pain or you cand get a surgery where the cut the nerves in your lower abdomen so you do not feel pain and you don't.
