I was recently down with an inflamed throat and asthma and I went to this particular doctor for consultation as my usual clinic was closed for the day.Within 2 days, my lips became swollen, turned slightly purplish and started to have ulcers in my mouth which hurt a lot.

I was feeling very unwell..Reason was the 1st medication caused me to have mouth symptoms and therefore I stop the medication for the throat and flu. I took the usual antibotics and cough syrup...

I couldnt find a reason what happened when I went to my family doc for help...The doc told me I might have allergies to the antibotics. And was given another round of medication.
I went back to the 1st doctor and ask what is happening and expect a refund from him. This wasn't actually the 1st time I contacted such sore symptoms on my mouth. He say I had an infection from my illness and therefore my mouth turned sore...Like the sores are being purge out because of that....Was it true? Or maybe the medicine that he gave was too strong? But he should have change another round of medication this time, and he did not. He even told me it couldn't be the antibotics that causes my sores..I was given that antibotics all along for my visits. So what's happening? I told him verbally that I do not see a point to all these because I don't know the facts and insist he give me my records and he refuse and say it's the clinic's property. I do have the right to get my records for my usual doctor to check what's happening, do i? What should I do?

I suggest going back to that doctor and demanding your records. He cannot legally withhold them from you. They are your records afterall.
Maybe the threat of getting your lawyer involved will change his mind. And if that doesn't work, all you have to do is go to a different doctor, and ask that doctor to request your medical records for you. You may have to sign something that gives your consent for the records to be transferred... I know that if you change doctors, the old doctor has a legal obligation to transfer all medical records to the new doctor upon request of both doctor and patient.

Hope this helps.

(you do have a legal right to all your medical records!!!)
