I got one on my side, the day that I went into labor, and then after I had brooklyn, I had a couple, but they arent bad at all. They are hardly noticable... Stretch marks fade, but they usually dont go completely away.

I got my first one with my first son when I was 5 months. It was a big ugly red mark. Stood out ,too! And as I got further along, he took over my tummy. With this baby, I think hes just using the handme down marks. Because they werent there awhile ago, but not they are coming in a silvery color. But sadly they dont go away either. They just lighten the color of your skin. :sigh:

It's genetic/hereditary isn't it?

Lotion will just lighten them. They dont work, omg. Cocoa butter is seriously false advertisement!

I was getting curious..So I found this.

Stretch marks occur when expanding skin is stretched to its limit and tiny tears appear in the supporting layers of skin. Stretch marks are quite common in pregnancy; about 50-90% of women will get stretch marks on their abdomen, breasts, thighs or buttocks during pregnancy.

What causes stretch marks
your chances of getting pregnancy stretch marks depend on a number of factors. Family history makes a difference-if your mother got stretch marks, chances are you'll have them too. Ethnicity is another matter-women with darker skin are less likely to get stretch marks. Weight gain and weight loss can also change the magnitude of your marks. Be sure to keep yourself hydrated, as this will help your skin stretch.

What can I do about stretch marks?
The best solution for getting rid of stretch marks varies from woman to woman. There are many options available to women seeking to remove stretch marks. Using a cream, like cocoa butter cream, can work by saturating your skin with moisture.

A good way to get rid of stretch marks is to help repair the collagen and elastin growth in your skin. Specially formulated stretch mark creams aim to rebuild the structure and promote the rejuvenation of your skin's layers. These natural creams contain cocoa butter, wheat germ oil and lanolin to help heal and moisturize your skin.

Yeah, I think some people just get them and some dont. I used that cocoa butter crap every night and I finally started getting them a few weeks ago. I was so upset at first, but now I dont really care they arent that bad
