I actually brought this up to my doctor
only for him to say and I quote, "until
they can improve it, I won't use it
again!" it seems he's tried it on seven
or eight patients already and has had no
success. Hopefully tha doesn't dampen
your ideas.

When my neurosurgeon inquired about it,
she also asked if I knew what it was.
I described it to the point that it blew
her away. There is a point that most
docs don't tell their patients; the vns is
like a pacemaker in regards to microwave
ovens and cell phones.
As for me, the only type of seizure I
don't have is disrobbing. So if you
use microwaves and or cell phones, your
s.O.L.
I'm a disabled veteran and my neurosurgeon
is at the local v. A. Hospital
I have had it done.I'm soooo happy I got a
vns inplant,i'm doing much better,alot :p
which you will still have to take some
medicine, but you won't have to take as
much, cause right now,i'm begin taking off
some of my medicine slowly now,and still
not having no seizures, thank you lord.I
won't never ever be off all of it,ya know
that, but I will be off some. From what the
Dr.Told me,that medicine can build up a
toxic in your body, and which, your body
also gets use to you taken the same amount
all the time,so it gets where it not use
to it any more, thats why you go to higher
dosges,or just plain out changer your
medicine, hope it will work.I was getting
so up sit at taking all that
medicine,and,my seizure was getting worse
as I kept getting older in life,so me and
my family sat down and talked about the
vns,and i'm so thankful I had it done.It
was a one day surgey,i came home the same
day too.I'm doing very very good now,i can
watch my grandchild now,all by myself at
home alone, without someone begin with me
now,and that means so much to me,ya
know...Well good luck..If ya have it
done, they told me that you could have it
taken out at any time too,you want.I don't
lol well good luck...Cyn

Vns can work - it has helped me... A
lot.
For anyone who wants to check out the info
on it go to www.Cyberonics.Com
- they give bothe the + and - facts. Read
the info they give for docs and decide
from that as well as your own doc's
opinion and that of people like me.
Nothing I have experienced from treatments
has cured me but the + I have recieved
from vns have much outweighed the -
