About 4 months ago my husband and I
decided to switch our method of b/c since
I had been on the pill for 8 years. We
decided to go with nuvaring due to low
hormones and ease of use. Last month my
peroid only lasted for 3 days and was very
very light and no "new blood" was present.
This month I am over 5 days late and I
took a home pregnancy test and it came
back negative. Should I call the Dr. And
go in for a blood test if I don't start by
monday?
Also earlier this month I was on
prednisone, I just found out that
corticosteroids can interfere with b/c
like antibiotics...

Pred. Counteracts b/c. I would go get a
blood test done. Some women only get neg
results from urine tests even if they
really are preg. The switch in b/c could
however be resp. For ur late period.
Any change in hormones can cause u to miss
or have it late. If u try another urine
test be sure it is done first pee of the
day. Good luck
