Ok, well, first of all, for the first 1-3 months of starting birth control you still need to use another form of protection, like condoms. Her body needs to get used to the hormones and adjust to whats going on... Information your girlfriend should have been given by her doctor. Because of what time of the month it is and how soon it is after your girlfriend finished her period that you guys had sex, I wouldnt be extremely worried about her being pregnant, but it is a definite possibility.

Basically, so you don't have to be worried every time you have sex, for the first 1-3 months use something else like condoms... Oh, and try to make sure she takes her pill at the same time everyday.

It seems so funny to me that people become semi-responsible....And then just lose it somehow. If you're responsible enough to go on bc, dont you think you should read the information and listen to your Dr. So that its actually effective! Or those girls who miss a pill and still decide to have unprotected sex that day.... Boggles my mind.

Oh, I know its not the case....Thats why I was commenting on it. Its kind of like a half a$$ed try at being responsible...But not mature enough to be patient at having unprotected sex until on bc for long enough. It bugs me sooo much.

Anyways let her know that she has about 12 hours to remember to take her pill after the normal time she usually takes it.
