Hello, could you please read about my
problem and tell me if it`s possible that
I have lupus or any other kind of
autoimmune disease... For the last four
years(i`m 25 years old) i`ve been having
unexplained eye-conjunctivitises (the last
one was in august) and here`s
rheumatologists have diagnosed me with
sjogren`s syndrome. But this diagnosis
seems rather strange to me since:
-i`ve been using artificial tears only
twice a day(when I don`t have
conjunctivitis, otherwise I have to use
ophthalmic corticosteroids and
antibiotics), I don`t feel any particular
dryness in my mouth(i can swallow food
without drinking) or in any other body`s
membrane
-dry eye tests(schirmer, fluorescein and
rose bengal) were negative
-biopsy of the inner lip did not confirm
sjogren`s syndrome
-since the age of 13 i`ve been having a
small but noticeable redness around my
nose which has spreaded in the last month
and the rashes also became itchy
(dermathologist diagnosed it with
dermatitis seborrhoica faciei and
prescribed me oronazol(ketoconazol) and
oral contraceptive pills diane 35)
-i`ve been having occasional pains in my
upper stomach which were really bad about
a month ago(the enormous pain wouldn`t go
away for few days,and then it got better
after a high dosage of ultop, ranital and
spasmex forte pills)
-i feel more and more tired, dizzy and
without energy, I often have headaches as
well(actually I have never have lots of
energy but I thought it was related only
to my eating disorder problems and
depressions which i`ve been having since
the age of 16)
-every time I go to sea I get
conjunctivitis(eventhough my eyes can be
quite ok just before that)
-i usually have cold hands and feet
-i got my menstrual period at the age of
18 and it has been irregular ever since
-i had ankle bursitis at the age of 16 and
the spot is still painful when I touch it
harder or wear inappropriate(tight)shoes
-ana titer 1:640
-presence of ro(1) in anti-ena
-cryoglobulins 150 (< 100)
-s-uric acid 2.1 mmol/l (2.8-7.5)
-s-bilirubin total 33 umol/l (0-17)
-s-tp proteins 83 g/l (65-80)
