Does anyone know if it is okay to dye your
hair when you're pregnant... I don't know
if I can go nine months without dying my
hair, my roots are already starting to
show, I mean if I have to wait, i'll wait,
just a question out of curiosity.

Dying your hair won't do a thing to the
baby. But sometimes I read the smell can
really make you want to throw up while
pregnant because of the sensitivity of
smell...

I think I remember hearing that some parts
of your hair might not take the dye
because of something to do with hormones
and other things! Im not 100% sure but I
think I heard that. It won't do any harm
to the baby as long as you don't swallow
it or breath the fumes in too heavily!!

They just think is safer not to (they
being a lot of the "experts) because the
dye is absorbed into your scalp and
anything you absorb could be possibly
absorbed by the baby
i know there is a more logical
explanation, like someone sown the family
line, but my dad has black hair, my mom
dark brown and my brother dark brown, but
when my mom was pregie with me she
bleached,dyed her hais a lot and when I
don;t dye mine it is blonde.??????

Well I know everyone has their own
opinions but my doctor told me that it's
okay to dye my hair, and that the scalp
doesn't actually absorb any dye or
chemicals. I personally need to do it
because my roots are totally showing but
i'm gonna wait a bit only cuz every smell
in the world is making me nauseous right
now.

It's fine after 3 months, than you can dye
your hair, however if you dye your hair
within the first trymester, it can be very
harmful to your baby!
