My left hip was replaced 13 years ago. Being a big guy (250 pounds) it has worn out over the last 13 years and I had to have a revision done this past may. I subluxed 11 times the first 14 days after the operation and 15 times in the firat two months. Now I ride a recumbent stationary bicycle 30 minutes every day and my hip is much stronger now. But 2 weeks ago I developed this intense fierce neurological pain in my left buttock. I am fairly certain it is sciatica. Who can tell me the connection between my hip operation and the sciatica.? The pain originates about 2" to the left of l3 or l4, but the pain is felt in one specific spot deep inside the left buttock and radiates down the back of my left thigh.
