Not sure if this is the place to post this
question but here it is. About 6 days
ago, I noticed that my husband had a lump
on the back of his head. It's about 1-2
inches up from the base of his neck and
perfectly centered on the back of his
head. It's roughly the size of a golf
ball and is soft to the touch. It came
up out of no where. He did not have any
injury and we are concerned. I've read a
lot about lipoma's but am not convinced
this is one. It seems to be very rare
for a lipoma to be located on the back of
the head and his lump is larger and
appeared more quickly than info. I read
on lipoma's. Should we be concerned?
Any one ever have something similar??
Any information would be greatly
appreciated.

Please Be Safe And Not Sorry! Posted: 10-23-03 19:39pm
Hi mary, I had a mole to come up 3 years
ago. I thought it was a deer tick, but
turned out to be a mole. Had it removed.
Results came back....Melanoma....Now I
have a 7 inch scar from surgery, not to
mention another 2 inch scar from the lymph
node removal. Am cancer free. My
advise....According to my dermatologist,
when something comes up suddenly, it needs
to be checked out immediately. Life is
not something to play with. Better be
safe than sorry. This lump just came up
from no where, and the size of it sounds
concerning. Please have this checked out
just to be sure. I hope everything comes
out just great. Please keep in touch and
let us know your hubby is ok! ^..^
