Does anybody know if jock itch can be
caused from a cat infected with ringworm
or is it a different form of the
infection? Thanks!

Okay, first, I think it's a different kind
of infection...
Second, how in the world would you get an
infection down there from a cat?? Are you
doing bad things to your animals? That's
kinda wierd.

Okay, maybe I should clarify. I have a
cat who has been having trouble with fleas
and losing hair. I assumed it was due to
flea allergy dermatitis. A friend of mine
said she thought it could be ringworm.
Since my kitty spends most of the day
sleeping on our bed and my husband
sometimes prefers to sleep in the nude, I
thought it might have been caused from the
cat if it has ringworm. Our children got
an outside kitten last year that had
ringworm and they both ended up with nasty
cases of it on their skin and hair that
cost me a fortune to get rid of. The
inside cat had never gotten it then but I
know it can lie dormant for a long time.
That is why I was wondering if jock itch
could be caused from the animal variety,
not cause i'm some weirdo doing freaky
things to my cat. Thanks for your reply
though.
