I had my 2nd lamaze class tonight and
afterwards we got to do a tour of the
birthing rooms, the nursery, and the post
partum rooms. Even tho i'm not delivering
at the hospital we're taking the classes
out, we still went. I'm also gonna tour
the hospital that i'm delivering at when I
go down for my next level 2 ultrasound in
3 weeks.
We saw several laboring woman. It made me
sooo jealous, I wanna have owen now! Lol
there was a newborn baby boy in the
nursery that was just born, weighing in at
10lb 13oz lol I feel soooo bad for that
mom!!

I don't know much about lamaze. Are you
gonna do it without drugs (epi)? When
are you due?

I'm not even gonna take those classes...
Even if I wanted too..Which I dont...I'm a
little late. My doctor told me to sign
up back when I was 20 something weeks
because I wouldnt be able to get into a
class for atleast a month. Haha - a
month from now I might have my baby boy!

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but I thought
that lamaze was just for women who were
having natural birth without any kind of
pain relief (i.E. Epidural). I thought
they taught you how to breath through the
contractions so they don't hurt.

Lamaze is more about what happens during
the labor/birth process than anything
anymore. You learn the stages of labor,
what your body goes through. You also
learn about all the pain meds available,
what happens when you go into the hospital
in labor, how to register, massage to help
you relax until you can get pain meds (if
you are). Alot of things like that. It's
alotta fun being with other pregnant woman
and it's been fun seeing how eric reacts
when he sees that i'm not the only moody
prego woman out there! Haha
