I would like to know if it is possible to
get stds such as genital warts if one is
not involved in any sexual relationships.
Meaning a virgin. This question has been
bothering me for quite sometime as I am
not sure if I did contract this std. And
will it be caused by masturbating?
I saw a topic which linked this std with
stress. I believe my lifestyle is kind of
stressful due to studies. So if it is due
to stress, will it heal? I am not sure
when I realise it, but it is definitely
quite long ago.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
in advance.

It is possible to contract genital warts
without having intercourse(virgin). If
you have had oral sex with a partner, this
creates the possibility of contracting the
std. Masturbating by yourself will not
cause it. I would'nt put a whole lot into
the stress factor. If you are in school,
you need to consider the effects of sex on
your life. Sex (whether it is intercourse
or oral sex) can greatly alter the course
of your life and carry with it a lot of
responsibility. So many people believe,
that will never happen to me! But guess
what? It does. Something to think about
it. Kisley

Herpes can be transmitted, if you drink
from the same bottle as somebody, who has
herpes. So there is no need for kissing
or sex.
In case you have herpes and you touch the
little bubbles that apear on the lips, you
have the virus on your fingers. If you
touch your genitals without washing your
hands, you can smear the infection on
other parts of your body.
