HI, in 2006, I began having bouts of off-and-on bleeding myself! Was severe! I swore it looked like I was bleeding out tissue. Went to countless doctors. Most said it was just heavy Menstrual cycles. In 2010 I found out I had Hypothyroidism (which explained the tiredness,hair-loss, and brittle nails) and b/c of this, the imbalance of hormones caused abnormal menstrual cycles...none-the-less, when I had them, they were heavy. I dealt with it. I gained lots of weight and I finally decided to see a Dr about weight-loss where they performed blood work and found out I was severely anemic. Then had to see an OB-Gyn. WE decided on partial hysterectomy since I could not take the side effects to heavy bleeding (bed-ridden/severe bleeding/cramping/back pains/muscle aches)...I want to stress, it felt like I was having a miscarriage and also looked that way! After the hysterectomy, the pathology report showed it was Adenomyosis (bleeding tissue inside of uterus wall) and the only way it was ever going to stop is by hysterectomy(the only cure for adenomyosis). I had also had previous endometriosis. Now sonograms throughout the years had constantly showed thickening of the lining of uterus and None of the doctors did anything about it! Now, after hysterectomy, I'm having pain in upper abdomen and recently had a Cat scan and colonoscopy. The cat scan showed large amounts of fluid in the pelvic area and large cyst. But there is still no answers to why there is fluid in pelvis area and tightening muscle cramping (or bulge/lump) in abdomen wall. Anyhow, this has all taken place in the last 6 weeks so my GI doctor took biopsies of places in the GI tract to find out why I'm still a bit anemic and as for the fluid in pelvis, i will have to go back to my OB-Gyn..I have read something about this thing called "febrile morbidity"... will know more later this week! Anyone else experiencing abdominal pain/tightening/bulge after partial hysterectomy and fluid in pelvis??? and know why???
