Okay I have a situation..I want to have a
baby and my new bf just told me he had a
vasectomy 4 years ago. Now I don't know
what to do. He is such a wonderful man, I
dont want to break up with him, but I
would be taking the chance of never having
children if the vasectomy reversal fails.
I have no children of my own and i'm the
only child of my parents. My parents
cannt wait to be grandparents. I know
that it is god hands pregnancy reason i'm
willing to take the risk..What do you guys
think? Is it okay to take the risk? As
far as I know vasectomy reverals its a
good chance if the procedure is performed
by a skilled microsurgeon but there are no
guarantees..

I've been told there's a possibility of
reversing them. Have you talked with
your b/f about this? Are you sure he
wants a child?
Also, adoption is a wonderful thing. I
know it's not your flesh and blood. But,
you can give them the same amount of care
and love as if they were your own. -
well, they become your own. Adoption is
a gift you can give yourself as well as to
that child.

If your bf had a vasectomy, there must
have been a very good reason -- it's not
something most men would do on a whim!
Does he actually want children? Has he
agreed to a reversal?

Vastectomy Reversals!! Posted: 02-09-05 16:35pm
Hi,
i was in the exact same situation you are.
I met a wonderful man who had had a
vasectomy 3 years before I met him. He
has 3 kids and I have none and desperately
want them. We talked about it in depth
and he has since had his vastectomy
reversed so yes it si possible! The are
lots of contributing factors as to what
the cahnces of success are but its worth a
try. We are still waiting for the final
sperm count to be done but he has one a
couple of weeks after the operation and
that one came back good so fingers crossed
everything will be ok.
It's a really hard call to make when like
you said you know you are running the risk
of never having children by staying with
him. All I have wanted all my life is to
have a family (i am 27yo now).I thought so
hard about it for a very long time and in
the end I had to ask myself, is it worth
leaving a relationship with someone who I
am perfectly happy with to run off and try
and find something that I may never find.
If I was to leave my partner just to find
someone who can have kids, how do I know
it will even happen and I may never find
someone who I love as much as him. I
decided it wasn't worth the risk and
decided to stick it out for better or
worse so now we'll just have to wait and
see. You can p.M me if you want to
chat.
I'm sorry if this makes things more
confusing.
Best of luck

Hello,
i was in the same situation as you, my
husband had his reversed nearly 2yrs ago.
The operation was not a success. I
thought that was the end of the road but,
now we are trying artificial insemination
at home, we found a great website local
samples to you wherever you are, fresh and
free. If it doesn't work for you like it
didn't for us , don't give up there are
always other methods. I wish you all the
best .X
