Once Again Like You
Krysy "i've had many tests done, some doctors say I have uti, others say I don't."

i have had many test done also and everytime I go in for a new test I get a urine sample, some times it comes out as a uti others not. The only wird thing is I went to the doctors sometimes 3 times a week and 2 times I would have a uti and once I wouldnt. The doctors never understood why they just said it was probably not enough bacteria but then they said they dont know how it would come out positive then negative.

Isn't it weird all three of us have the same problem and no doctors answers??? Im sorry but I believe something is wrong with us and doctors need to find the cause or diesease. Do you agree? And if it helps... My doctors put me on a 6 month supply of bactrim to prevent a uti. It worked but my 6 months is up im gettin uti's once again and I became addictied to my medication and had to take extra to lean my body off it. Ie: half pill for week

hope this might help one of you or hopefully both. Please let me know any little info or tips for me. Thanks, jessica

I have the same problem....I have also been on long term antibiotics, which i consider unsafe but, relief is relief....if anyone has any ideas on prevention other than the same ol thing the drs tell you let me know.
Oh and as far as the uti screening, when they are negative ask the dr to do cultures, my dr does this and sometimes will give me antibiotics even though the orig. test was neg.

constant UTI
I have had the same problem for the last 5 years. I'm 24 years old and have taken so many antibiotics long term that my body has become resistant to all of them and they don't work anymore. I just recently got married and this problem I have had makes it a little difficult to want to have sex with my spouse who is bothered by it.
I've had all of the horrible tests that you guys have had and my urologist told me that it could be that my bladder is rejecting my urine so he put me on vistaril (an antihistamine) and amitryptilene (an old school anti depressant but actually helps with pain more). These are very cheap meds and they have worked for quite a while but now, they are not currently working anymore.
It seems that I have to down bottles and bottles of water just to make the pain go away.
I love when I go to the doctor and they say, "do you take cranberry pills?, to you urinate after you have intercourse?" Generally my answer is something along the lines of "Cranberry pills and sex stopped helping years ago for me. years ago
