I am taking ephedra diet pills but i'm only 17. I read you must be at least 18. Why does that matter and what will ephedra do to me at this age? Also, I heard that ephedra is very strong for burning actual fat. Is anyone else taking diet pills containing this stuff or know anything about it? Thanks a bunch =)

Where do you live? Ephedra was banned in the united states so I don't understand how you could be taking it.

I'm from canada and I didn't know it was banned until after I bought it. I'm doing atkins along with these pills and it's helped me so far, but i'm afraid of what ephedra could do to my health.

Oh ok, I was confused! I didn't realize it was still legal other places, but I guess that makes sense.
My mom took ephedra for a long time and lost a lot of weight, and she had tried everything! Now that it is banned she has gained about 60 pounds back Crying or Very sad it is bad for your heart though. But then again, so is being overweight, so you just have to weight the pros and cons for you.

I know but I paid 100 bucks for them. Did I get ripped off? I took 2 today on an empty stomach and I felt so anxious and restless the whole time. Can you tell me how many you took that made you feel sick? I think i'll stick to one a day.

Re Ephedra
I cant believe how uneducated on weight loss you are, dont you understand that you should only be taking those tablets if you are obese. If you dont consider yourself even remotely overweight then what the hell are you doing with them and do your parents know? If you are looking at toning up,get a gym membership and get active, eventually if you are taking those meds with not much weight to lose your body will go into muscle meltdown and you will burn muscle, which can be fatal. Please dont become another statistic with an eating disorder.

Diet Pills
I have to say this.. About 6 years ago after having a baby and a hubby health forum about me being fat.. I tried all these diet pills including the one u are talking about ...

These drugs are dangerous! They can cause problems.. After taking 3 to 4 diffrent kinds because I wanted to loose weight and I did ..Loose ..

But didnt relize what I was doing to my body because I wanted to loose..
I went to the doctor and blood work was done.. Where they discovered I had lupus in my blood..

It wasnt there in my blood before my daughter was born.. But after taking all those bad drugs to loose weight..It was discoved I had a immune disorder.. And since then I have gone down hill.. I have gainned the weight back.. But have lost some because I was eating right..

I did the atkins diet.. But I changed it somewhat..To fit me and to be healthy..

You need to eat white meats baked or broiled.. With green veggies,
for breakfast eat eggs and turkey sausage, or someother meat..

Do not eat any of these...
No cakes, no candy, no sweets, no chips, no brownies, no icecream, no root veggies.. Stay away from red meats.. No processed foods..Meaning nothng out of a box.. If u cant grow it ... Dont eat it..
Dont drink diet drinks in can.. They are processed foods.. Too many hidden things added to these drinks and bars..
Get a blender and blend fresh veggies ...Make your own drink!

If its not white meat such as fish, tuna, turkey,chicken,pork,shrimp,etc..Dont eat it..

No fried foods ... Bake or broil..
Those atkin bars.. All that I have eaten make u more hungry..Something about the sugar..When I lost weight.. I skipped them bars..Just a money making thing.. That we can skip..

I would cheat one meal a week.. On saturdays.. I would eat out and eat something I would be craving.. Dont eat alot and go back to being on my diet

keep a food book.. Write down everything you eat or drink including medications you take..
Do this for as long as you are on your diet..

Believe me eating healthy is alot better than swollowing a pill that has you believeing u will wake up skinny..It doesnt work..
Basically you are loosing water weight with pills ..

Do this for you body.. Pills are very dangerous..

Good luck.. And skip the pills

Still Sold
Ephedra is still sold in the u.S. But under names like ephedrine or sometimes is spelled 'efedrine'. If you look at the ingredients...It's there. They aren't sold in many places, but you can find them (they're cheap, too). I've been taking them for a while now and they definitely do supress your appetite. However, I can also feel that they make my heart feel like it's going to pop out of my chest. I should stop taking them...And so should you (or anyone else who is). Unless you want to take the risk...Replace them with another (though in my opinion there is no healthy/working diet pill), or just change your lifestyle.

Peace.

Wow so much misinformation.

Ephedra is still legal in 8mg / 50 pills per bottle dosages. Which is only around 6-7 days worth for weight loss applications.

Does it work? Yes. Can it hurt you? Yes... Buuuuuuut.. Only if you don't do your research.

Guess what.. Aspirin.. Tylenol.. Birth control pills.. Even antibiotics can harm, and possibly kill you. So if you want to use them, do your reading first.

I'm testing for my cpt and nws. More important than my certifications is that i've helped countless women lose weight and get the bodies they wanted, including many who was competed in fitness pagents, one of which happens to be first place winner lisa myles.

Ephedrine will not alter your wbc or blood plasma in any way... It will not cause you to develop any strain of lupus. There could be another drug you took which could have contributed to this, but it most definately was not ephedrine in this case.

Here's a quick write-up on ephedrine.. Again, if you're just going to pop pills... Might as well start smoking cigarettes.. Both will harm you. If you want to do it, do it properly.

ephedrine

what is it?

ephedrine is a thermogenic. It raises your body's temperature and metabolism to burn calories, proteins, and fats much quicker. It's load on your body is similar to having a brisk walk---even while your sitting, watching tv, or sleeping. There have a been a handful of individuals who have over-dosed on ephedrine, or took it too long and have died from heart complications---this is not a fault of the drug, but a fault of the user. For this reason it has been banned by the fda last year. It can still be found in some health stores as a nasal decongestant, however the bottles are limited to 8mg pills and only 50 pills per bottle. Hardly enough ephedrine for weight loss. This bottle would last you only 5 days for weight loss applications. There are some people in underground circles which have access to this stimulant in it's proper dosages of 25mg per pill.

how does it work?

ephedrine has powerful effects on the cellular mechanisms that control fat release from fat cells. Some of these effects include contributing to the release and blocking the re-uptake of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. This gives norepinephrine the ability to continuously stimulate receptors in your body, causing fat cell "flood gates" to

open and facilitate fat loss. In other words---it speeds up your metabolism.

is it safe?

because ephedrine alkaloids are heart and nervous system stimulants, certain individuals including those with hypertension, heart conditions and neurologic disorders, should avoid their use. Ephedrine is completely safe if you are safe. In other words---it depends on how you use it. Do your research, get a blood test done, and listen to your body! If it's too much for you, lower your dosages... If it leads to other problems such as irritability or extreme loss of sleep, you should discontinue use of this drug and search for other alternatives.

how do I use it?

ephedrine should always be stacked with aspirin and caffeine for weight loss applications. This is also known as the eca stack. Because ephedrine has a very short half-life, you must take it 3 times/day. It will make you very energetic and hyper, make sure your last dose is not 3 hours before bed time. Each dose consists of 25mg ephedrine, 80mg aspirin (1 pill), and 200mg caffeine (1 pill).

do I need to take caffeine and aspirin too?

caffeine is required to free fatty-acid concentrations and adrenaline levels. This frees up more fats for energy--which will drain your fat stores over time.

Aspirin raises the body's internal "thermostat," so that the increased production of heat (from the ephedrine) does not set off alarms in the body. This allows the ephedrine and caffeine to work in your body for a longer period of time, giving you the maximum fat-burning potential.

side effects

the most common side effects are thermors, rapid heart rate, jitters, and increased blood pressure. You may also suffer from insomnia and headaches.

where do I get it from?

if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg, you will have to find someone who has access to underground drugs. If you're having difficulty finding a supplier, send me a pm.

----

again, if you have any questions.. Feel free to pm me. Either losing weight naturally, getting fit, or related to weight loss drugs that work. (i.E. Ephedrine, clenbuterol, cytomel, synthroid).

Good luck to all of you, and remember.. Education is key.

unfortunately, I already contributed to the eating disorders statistics. But anyways, I gave up bulimia so I could be a healthier person. I messed up my metabolism really badly from many things like throwing up meals, not eating for days, etc. My point is I wanted to get my metabolism going again and eating healthy. I lost 10 pounds with atkins but gained it back and I just bought a book called eat right for your type. About the pills, I know they're dangerous and no my parents don't know, but i'm going to finish them either way. I just wanted to know some more info on them. Thanks to everyone who replied..

Alternatives
There are safe alternatives to ephedra. Ingredients like advantra z, metabroming, synephrine, green tea.

They all do work, but you need the right combination for them to be successfull. Do a search for remedilean. It's fairly new on the market, but looks very promising.
